✦ AI summary

Players appreciate the game's distinctive art style, humor, and character writing rooted in the comic series, with the narrative and world-building drawing particular praise. However, common complaints center on sluggish pacing—especially the slow, unskippable walking animations—technical issues including translation problems and voice-over/subtitle mismatches, and puzzle logic that relies heavily on absurdist cartoon reasoning rather than intuitive design, with the experience feeling quite short despite the slow pace.

I'm a big fan of point & click adventure games. But good ones. This one's a mediocre fan service at best. Most of the context and dry jokes go over your head if you didn't read the graphic novels. However, after realising the source material is silly, and the puzzles are mostly nonsense, it becomes very predictable. Just apply the cartoon logic, and the most ridiculous solution is probably the right one. I finished it in less than 3 hours... And that's only because the gameplay is painfully slow. You have to watch Pizzaboy make every step, and I mean steps at walking pace. No skipping. No running. Even when everything is literally on fire. If that wasn't annoying enough, hotspots are overlapping, so you often end up opening inventory instead of changing location, etc. Seems intended to beat the refund limit. Honestly, it feels like a mobile port, which'd explain the production quality. Both, translation and English voice acting, are disappointing. I replayed it in Spanish, and it's better, but not by much. I don't know Portuguese well enough to see how it compares to the original. In both versions there are issues, like a line or two recorded by a wrong actor, or text on …

The Interactive Adventures of Dog Mendonça and Pizzaboy is a point-and-click adventure rooted in the cult comic series of the same name, developed by OKAM Studio and published by Ravenscourt. Like the comics, it blends supernatural noir, absurd urban mythology, and sardonic humor into a detective story that refuses to take itself too seriously. Set in a stylized version of Lisbon where monsters live among humans in uneasy secrecy, the narrative follows Eurico—once just an unlucky pizza delivery guy, now an underpaid assistant to Dog Mendonça, a gruff but well-meaning werewolf private investigator. Their partnership becomes the entry point into a mystery involving missing creatures, hidden conspiracies, bureaucratic supernatural organizations, and eccentric characters who seem only half-surprised by the bizarre world they inhabit. The writing has a self-aware charm, finding comedy in both pulp tropes and the mundane frustrations of everyday life, and it carries the story with energetic personality. As an adventure game, it embraces classic genre structure—exploration, dialogue, inventory puzzles, and environmental problem solving—while injecting modern sensibilities into pacing and…

totally underestimated how long this game would take me lol. thought it was something i could pick up before bed and ended up spending all night going back and forth between puzzles while being sleep-deprived. quite liked the story and art despite never heard of the original comic series, but the voice acting could be better. the ratio between reading and interactive gameplay is appropriate if you’re not really an avid reader.

Translation weirdness. Discrepancies between voice-overs and subtitles. Typographical errors. Contextual errors. Slow walking speed. No quick-exit function.
