The Joy of Putting: Mini Putt is exactly the kind of game I can open when I want something simple and relaxing. It brings back that old Flash mini golf feeling, but with modern resolutions and a cleaner presentation. I am basically just lining up my shots, judging the strength and trying to get the ball into the hole in as few shots as possible. It sounds basic, but I think that is part of why it works so well. The putting itself feels pretty good once I get used to the physics. The courses have slopes, bumps, hills, sand, water, gravel, rebounds and moving obstacles, so I cannot always just aim directly at the hole. Some shots need a bit more thought, especially when I am trying to get a really low score. I like that the game rewards careful positioning rather than making everything about luck. The physics can take a little practice, but once I understand how the ball reacts, getting a good shot feels satisfying. There is also a good amount of content here. I have seven different courses and more than 99 holes available, with some based on real Mini Putt competition courses from Quebec.
