It's a cute, if not a bit bare bones and simple, player vs player board game. The vibes and visuals are pretty good. A bit of fun with a friend for a few games, might as well get it since it's free.4 found this helpful
Dear Flip studios, if im honest this is an Legend of a game, as someone who finds chess hard to wrap my head around, this is diamond in the rough, And for free mind you, psss with what you have here, this is gold, Its smooth great sound design, Single player? No problem, I just stream it within a discord with a friend, Multiplayer would be very cool for this game, should go for devs! : Edit . Still a good game2 found this helpful
Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There are no available servers and no player population. This game cannot be played as intended.
This is an unusual boardgame where you command an army of various units (Soldiers, Knights, Wizards, Legends) and strategically sacrifice, upgrade, and regenerate your forces to defeat your opponent. It's played out on a small, simple hex map and you move pieces around in a near-Chess-like manner, which is all fine. The problem here, and I dare say the reasons this was a failure here on Steam was the expectation that players are content and that it's the responsibility of gamers to populate servers for the developers, so they don't have to. Doesn't work that way. Including an AI for gamers to play against would have been pivotal in making this more successful... although ultimately this is the kind of game that would do better on mobile phones (and, I daresay, earn the developers some money through ad impressions). So, "The King's Legend" is a dead PvP game. Why did it fail? It's video game autopsy time! Almost every PvP exclusive game on Steam fails. Only a tiny proport…2 found this helpful
Booted up The King’s Legend thinking it was just another action RPG. Turns out it’s a solid little adventure that scratches the right itch. – Combat is straightforward but satisfying — every swing feels purposeful – Skills and upgrades are fun to experiment with, even if the system isn’t super deep – World design is simple but charming, with a few cool surprises – Story is light, nothing epic, but enough to keep you invested – At one point I got hit by a random arrow, yelled “why me?!” and kept playing anyway 7.5/10. The King’s Legend isn’t groundbreaking, but it’s fun, enjoyable, and worth a few hours of your time.1 found this helpful
