Players have mixed feelings about this hidden object game, with some finding it entertainingly silly fun despite its numerous technical and design flaws, while others find it genuinely poor. Common complaints include poor voice acting quality, glitchy puzzles, excessive achievements, control issues on Mac, and nonsensical storytelling, though some appreciate the graphics and variety of hidden object scenes. The game seems to appeal primarily to series fans willing to overlook its issues for campy entertainment value.
Once upon a time, Leonardo da Vinci, Nicola Tesla and Hernando Cortes went for a lunch, and met a lobotomized LLM that kept churning nonsensical quasi-historical stories. They dismantled it and the world was saved.1 found this helpful
I must say this is the best part so far. I really liked it, even though the vocalisation is not the best, many descriptions only show under special circumstances and there is a little bug in a minigame where you need to exit it to solve it. Still really nice and well made. It felt longer then it was, in a good way. I also really like the different HOS they used. I can really highly recommend it
good enough, so for 79%, nice graphics a details, but mizerable runs on mac, there are some problems with controll mouse pointer with touch-pad, freezing or dissappear in some ingame places. Storry is quite interesting and puzzles nice.
Sadly, this one is very bad.
This is one of the worst hidden object games I've ever played. They replaced the baby griffon from the previous game for some reason. There are just way too many achievements to the point that any bit of progress in the story gives you an achievement. Clicking on something more than once does not give the info about the object. Some of the puzzles are definitely glitched.
Recommendation: The most nonsensical of the Secret Order games so far, Beyond Time is definitely a sub-par Artifex Mundi game. But even though it's a worse version of everything you've seen before in their games, this still manages to be silly fun. Critique: This game has a LOT of the elements that get ridiculed in Artifex Mundi games: really bad voice acting (in this game, it's even recorded badly - much of the cut-scene dialogue sounds like it was recorded on a phone in the bottom of a well), clunky animation, bonkers plot that makes no sense, throwing away useful items that you could use again in the next puzzle, text that disappears off the edge of the screen, huge hit boxes, using a coin as a screwdriver, having an NPC "helper" whose help is inconsistent (usually useless until the point that you've forgotten they're there), not being able to use obviously useful items (to be fair, this is an issue with nearly all adventure games). The difference here is that many of these issues are even more pronounced here. You will enjoy this game or dislike it based largely on whether you find this stuff funny or not. I think it's hysterical. The voice act…
