The Secret Order 5: The Buried Kingdom

I feel I need to put my foot down here, usually I love hidden object games and it doesn't matter if some puzzle feel the same or are similar to some extend... but this game had zero originality and felt like a clusterfest of pipe puzzles from beginning to end. At least try to jazz things up a bit guys.

I've enjoyed this hidden object game as I have enjoyed all of them in the series.

A nice new addition to the series. This time no time travel but the two clans that go against each other. Its not as grand as the last parts due to only two little special mechanics but still a nice game. I liked the 4th part more nonetheless. The first part in the series where i needed to play a second time to find the last collis. I can highly recommend it

[u]Recommendation[/u]: Another fun entry in what may be the silliest series of hidden object games Artifex Mundi has published. [u]Critique[/u]: This is a bog-standard Artifex Mundi hidden object game: it doesn't make sense, it has terrible deepfake character animation, there's a little helper (who looks like a cheap Spyro knockoff), there's a blend of supernatural and fantasy technology, there is a meta-game of finding/collecting certain objects from the "adventure" screens for achievements, you use a coin as a screwdriver, you rescue an imperiled family member, it has a good mix of different types of puzzles that all strongly resemble the puzzles you find in nearly every hidden object game you've ever played, and the hidden object puzzles are generally fair (few instances of not knowing what you're trying to find) and not too difficult (getting the 'solve a puzzle in less than a minute' achievement is almost a given). That this is the fifth in the series doesn't matter - any connection with the previous games is tenuous at best, and there's nothing you need to know from the series that will help you understand the plot better. Solid title of the series, nothing sticking out to the positive or negative. When you played other titles of the series (or Artifex Mundi games in general) and had fun, then this game will not disappoint. Many collectibles, easy achievements for screen search afficionados.

After the horribleness that was Beyond Time, the series has returned to its standard mediocrity.
