About The Time Game

The Time Game is a complex strategy card-game where you can bend the rules of time to outsmart your opponents!  Play solo or online with friends! If you love Magic: The Gathering, or complex card games with card stacking mechanics, this is for you. Play cards each turn, trying to survive deadly weapons and bombs. Cards stack up; creating a complex chain of events, requiring you to predict future outcomes. Certain spaces on the board can give advantages while others will send you on an impromptu space-walk. Time is bent and logical strategy is created in the moment depending on the game state. The depth is seen in the course of rounds you survive in, resulting in a fight over abundant parts of the map while avoiding dangerous locations.
Features
  • Multiplayer, 2-4 Players.
  • Difficult ai bots to fight.
  • Single player puzzles.
  • Dynamic Board that changes each game.
  • Plan out how the future will unfold by creating rifts in time and deploying time bombs as future explosives.
  • Utilize futuristic technology such as time machines, rocketships, as well as cryogenic chambers.
  • Collect Busted cards from spaces in time, use them to tilt the scales in your favour.

A very fun game with friends. I love the concept of a bunch of time travelers destroying the timeline trying to kill each other. The chaotic nature equalizes the playing field also. Focusing on your strategy means that you're thinking about other player's plays less. That along with the random cards in the hand you're dealt, your skills might just be utilized to delay your inevitable death. Though I wish more cards would remind you that this is a time loop you're all fighting in. Right now the earth feels like different earths you're hopping between instead of a single planet that's changing as time rotates. What if a card was an electric manifesto that causes riots in the coming eras and could be disrupted as it builds? Showing stuff grow through time would better communicate that this is one planet we're fighting on

At the time of me writing this, the game is in early access and is currently set at FREE to play. Why anyone would even consider giving a negative review at this stage is beyond me. The game works, does as is advertised and during my time playing, I didn't find a single bug. The game itself is fun and quite fast paced. You play your cards, your opponent plays their cards and then the action resolves. Nice and simple. Except maybe for me. I admit, I'm not very skilled when it comes to this particular style of game. Sadly, this means frustration creeps in while I'm playing and I end up not enjoying the game as much as I know I should. The game itself isn't confusing, but I somehow manage to get confused just looking at it. However, I am determined to master it, so I will be going back for more attempts, so that I can properly learn how it works, Okay, so would I recommend the game to others. Absolutely, 100%. If you can make more sense of some of the rounds than I did, you can get lots of fun from this game. If you play it with friends, I think it could be a good laugh, beating each other down. My final note on the game. Give it a little time. Get used to how it works. And if you …
