About The Trolley Problem Game
The Trolley Problem Game turns the classic Trolley Problem into a diverse set of problems that fall into many different categories—some are moral dilemmas, some are educational, and some are just for fun!
Would you kill one person to save five? Is it ethical to kill baby Hitler? Would you spare the burning of the Library of Alexandria but destroy everything written on Wikipedia?
The game includes two modes—Free Play and Utilitarian Mode. In Free Play mode, you can make choices as you see fit, and in Utilitarian Mode, you are encouraged to make decisions that are considered the most ethical according to the Utilitarian characters in the game, where you can accumulate points and a streak for agreeing with them.
The game has more than 300 ethical decisions, each taking around 45 seconds, which means the game currently has about 4 hours of gameplay (or even more if you like to read!).
The game will include links to different pages where you can argue with other players about what the correct ethical decision is. The game also records and shows the way other players have chosen to answer the questions.
If the game gets popular enough we will add the ability to create your own problem and share it with the world!

The questions are fundamentally flawed, leading to manipulation of the player into thinking they're a bad person for not following the developer's very flimsy moral code. Questions involve things like "Kill all of this insect that spreads a disease that causes humans to be allergic to meat, or 7,000 animals" and then tells you (incorrectly) that meat eating is a morally corrupt choice (I'm always down for moral discussion, but moral inflictions are morally corrupt in and of themselves)4 found this helpful
If it werent for the game's 'characters' all criticizing your decisions, it would be a lot better. Not that there's a lot here to do, after you scroll through a good 50 of these, you'll be done. I managed to squeeze in 2 hours simply because I streamed it live and had an audience helping me mock the game's obvious leftist leaning politics and weird morality. Skip this. Go get Trial By Trolley at the boardgame store and enjoy the fun with your friends. If you really want to explore your morality, have ChatGPT give you better prompts than "hurr hurr would you rather kill 1 cow or 100 chickens? DURRRR"3 found this helpful

Very fun philosophy and ethics game.
Pros: Lots of scenarios that are both thought provoking or funny, cheap price. Cons: Game crashed 4 times, and lots of repeat/lazy questions towards the end Overall I still think the game was a net positive, especially since the negatives can easily be fixed.
