About Thearchy
The game is a difficult dungeon-crawler style game. It has a simple, yet elegant pixel art style. There is no true win condition, you do what satisfies you. The game is highly influenced by cults and religion that you and other characters can explore. It is situated in a dystopian, post-apocalyptic Earth setting. The world is full of raiders, mutants, wild animals, aliens, other humans, and much more. You play as one of eight characters each with three skill trees that grant game changing perks attained by leveling up. There are hundreds of items to find through out the game, ranging from guns, swords, hats, helmets, food, bombs, and tons of weird stuff. There are various factions you may encounter, each with their own likes and dislikes that are affected by your choices. The game is full of features both easily apparent, and small things that you may never even find, such as dancing in fire, absorbing radiation and getting mutated, detonating atomic bombs, finding monkeys everywhere, and tons of fun stuff. With so much going on, surviving in the wasteland may prove challenging, luckily there are dozens of friendly characters willing to die fighting at your side.
Game is still being worked on and so any bugs, balances, and other things needed to be altered will be fixed.

Thearchy is a 2D top down retro pixel dungeon crawler game that's been slapped together with the godawful GameMaker Studio construction kit from Yoyogames. Using a low quality video game construction kit invariably results in a low quality game, and there's no exception here. The technical implementation is fairly bare bones, with blocky 2D retro pixel "art" graphics. Controls and resolution are locked. Overall the quality and depth of the game are very low. The developer seems to have decided that PC game controllers like HOTAS, pedals, racing wheels etc are in fact console peasant childrens toy gamepads. It's just my opinion of course, that these are in fact not console peasant pads. Regardless, the developer doesn't agree, and maps them as if they are, so the mouse control is overridden and the mouse pointer is shoved up into the top left corner of the screen. The menu can't be negotiated without the mouse (which the developer has rendered useless through this questionable controller design decision), so the game cannot be played. Basic testing on a gaming PC would have caught this. The game is completely free. Nothing speaks more to a developers belief in themselves…5 found this helpful

Before I played Thearchy, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
