11/10 ! Perfect example that you don't need a billion dollar budget to create a nice story type game. Loved every second of it. Highly recommended.

wonderful game full of heart and meaning despite no understandable dialogue. fun to play game that only takes a couple hours to finish. The dinosaurs look good and feel like real animals in a way that a lot of games don't manage.

Do you like Paleolithic era vibes, poink adventures, and have a couple hours to occupy? Then play Theropods! Short, sweet, easy, and hella good looking!

An enjoyable little point-and-clicker. The pixel art is nice and the story well told. Don't expect a free-roaming puzzle adventure, this is more in the style of linear scenes with relatively quickly resolved trial and error sequences of actions. I played through it on release and there seemed to be a few bugs and/or farfetched situations but not too much friction really. And for mah dinosaur autists out there: The game heavily markets itself as a dinosaur game, both with the title and press material. Dinosaurs are however a very tangential part in this. They play little to no role in the actual story at all. The story is about women caught in the middle of hunter-gatherer tribal warfare in a universe where non-avian dinosaurs happen to be contemporaries. Dinos make small appearances here and there, usually colourful and fun pixelated recreations. But don't expect any scientific accuracy nerdery, behaviours, or dinosaurs as actual characters in the story. (Well, the big bad one has some influence, but not really as a character of it's own - it's more of an archetype for the main characters childhood trauma.) Even so, I would recommend a playthrough unless the dino thing is a dealbre…

Amazing classic and nostalgic point and click adventure. Really enjoyed the (visual) story telling. sometimes the puzzles were a bit cryptic tho.

[beta tester for game] Lovely point and click adventure with no dialogue. The characters are cave people, so communication is only by gesture. Fight a hostile tribe and survive dinosaurs to save your people. Gameplay is via object puzzles, using your surroundings. Instead of exploring a map, you move between episodes, with all objects needed available at each one (you can't get softlocked). Highly recommended!
