About Thou Shalt Not Kill

"Thou Shalt Not Kill" is a VHS-style first-person walking simulator horror game. You play as Angel, a girl traveling through the forest who finds a VHS tape lying on the ground. She starts watching it, only to discover that the footage is unsettling and tells a mysterious story. As you watch the entire tape, you realize this is no ordinary VHS footage, and you are shocked by its revelations.
The game takes only 30 minutes to beat.

Description
The game offers a tense atmosphere and heart-pounding vibes that will make you nervous while playing. It features 3D surround sound audio to immerse you in the scene fully, realistic graphics, creepy enemy design, a realistic dynamic flashlight system, and an overall spooky vibe.

Do not waste your money on this game. The walking speed is agonizingly slow and the game crashed several times at the same exact spot making it unplayable after the first 10 or so minutes into it. As soon as you see the first bad guy crawling at you and you start to crawl away the game crashed on me 3 times in a row at that same spot. The movement speed is so horribly slow I couldn't stand to keep trying to see if it would ever not crash. Don't even pay $1 for this game. To top it off there is no saving your game progress so if your game crashes you are starting all over again.2 found this helpful
Thou Shalt Not Kill, developed and published by SolitaryStudios, is a short-form psychological horror experience that places atmosphere and unease above traditional gameplay depth or narrative exposition. It is designed as a compact, cinematic journey meant to be consumed in a single sitting, relying on mood, audiovisual tension, and ambiguity to leave an impression rather than sustained mechanical engagement. From the moment it begins, the game signals its intentions clearly: this is not a survival horror title built around combat or resource management, but a focused descent into discomfort driven by exploration and suggestion. The player assumes the role of Angel, a young woman who finds herself wandering through a quiet forest and encountering a mysterious VHS tape that becomes central to the unfolding experience. This setup immediately frames the game around curiosity and dread, with the tape acting as both a narrative device and a source of escalating unease. The story is told almost entirely through environmental cues and disturbing footage rather than dialogue, creating a fragmented narrative that feels deliberately incomplete. Instead of providing clear answers, the game …1 found this helpful
not bad. just too short
I got all of this dev's library because I liked Dead Feed so much. Most of his games have a bug here or there, but it's usually like clipping or a line of text won't go away. This one you literally can't complete because the game crashes when you run during a chase scene, and if you get caught you just start over again There's no way to finish it. I would not recommend this one, but check out Dead Feed, it's just as short as his others but it has everything for him to legit make a full game and make some real money.
I played for about 30 minutes and had to stop because the game crashed. My progress wasn’t saved, so I would have had to replay the whole slow crawling/sneaking section again, even though I was probably close to the end. The atmosphere is done well, but that’s pretty much the only real positive. The character moves very slowly, there were some sound bugs, and “jumpscares” could be retriggered just by walking back and forth, sometimes even without sound. Technically it didn’t run well for me at all. The difficulty is very low since you barely have any real choices. Unfortunately, even for around 5 bucks, I wouldn’t recommend it.
