Tidy Cauldron

cute puzzle game. the little level completion noises gave me great joy, so did spam clicking the ingredients. i love sparkles achievements bugged out for me the first time, but its nothing a quick replay can fix. as with all cute puzzle games, there's always one piece i hate. screw that magic wand in particular, it was always hard figuring out where to lodge that thing i hope it enjoys bein cooked in that cauldron dumb twig i hate u

This was a nice little cozy game for a snowy afternoon. It's easy enough that you can do it while listening to music or an audio book but challenging enough to keep you engaged. The ingredients range from cute to gross and the artwork is simple but pleasant to look at. Highly recommend for about 2-4 hours of play time. Would be an awesome game to play around Halloween =)

Sadly, I don't recommend it The game advertises as magical and I expected some magic with it's mechanics, but it ended being only a theme, an excuse to make choose the art and the environment, but it doesn't add nothing to the feeling I expected to have maybe some interactions between the puzzle pieces (maybe if you place two specific pieces together they form a new one, and you have to choose whether to combine them or not), but at the end there are just more pieces and that's it. The graphics are pixel art yes, but they don't look too good, which added to the said above, doesn't improve the experience. Also, they have an achievement which requires you to play two hours, and I suspect that it's only there so you can't refund the game. I'm okay with supporting a game even if I don't like it myself, but that's just a cheap trick. I hope the next game from this developers becomes a hit, but this one just isn't enough.
