Tiger Tank 59 Ⅰ Rainstorm is a very simple top down tank shooter, and I think it works best when I treat it as a small old school arcade game rather than expecting a full scale tank simulator. I control a tank from above and have to push through enemy lines, destroy their tanks and eventually take out their base. The whole thing is focused on moving, shooting and trying not to get caught in a bad position. It is basic, but there is something quite satisfying about slowly working my way through a map while watching enemy tanks appear through the fog. The fog of war is probably the mechanic I like most because it gives the otherwise straightforward shooting a little bit of tension. I cannot see the entire battlefield at once, so I have to move carefully and work out where the next threat might come from. At the same time, the enemy base can fire across the whole map, which means I cannot simply sit in one safe corner and wait forever.
