Tiny Tales: Heart of the Forest is a warm, storybook-style hidden-object adventure that leans into charm, imagination, and accessibility rather than complexity or difficulty. Developed by Brave Giant LTD and published by Artifex Mundi, it presents a fairy-tale world viewed from a tiny perspective, where everyday objects become towering landmarks and the natural forest transforms into a vast, mysterious realm. The game is clearly designed to be inviting and relaxing, offering a gentle sense of wonder that carries players through its narrative and puzzle-driven progression. The story follows Max, a small but determined resident of the Kingdom of Brie, whose peaceful forest home is threatened by an unexplained drought and a chain of strange events. What begins as a personal problem quickly expands into a broader quest involving missing royalty, a grand tournament, and hidden forces influencing the balance of the forest. The narrative unfolds gradually through dialogue, environmental storytelling, and illustrated cutscenes, maintaining a lighthearted tone even as the stakes rise. Good visuals. Not the greatest story in the genre but I was still entertained. Worked well on Steam Deck with touch screen.

Down voting for now. The text at top of screen only shows for a split second. No time to actually read it.

I wanted to like this so much. The game wouldn't let me. I'm a huge fan of Artifex Mundi games, but a handful of them suffer from the same logic holes. Scene 1: I need a screwdriver. I find a screwdriver, use it, throw it away. Scene 3: there are some screws that need unscrewed. I find a knife, unscrew the screws, and throw it away. Scene 4-7: this fabric needs cut, if only I had a knife. I find several sharp objects, throw them away. Scene 8: I need a screwdriver. A couple hours into the game I just flipped it to casual mode so I could get through it as quickly as possible. It was not enjoyable at all. This is the first Artifex Mundi game that I did not bother to complete the bonus chapter on.

Not a bad HOG. Pretty a-typical of the genre.

My second Artifex Mundi game completed, and I can confirm I'm becoming a quick fan of the games. It's genuinely charming, a quick little game so it doesn't drag on, and I found it to be relaxing. There is a potion making system in the game, which I thought was cool, but once you find all the shapes that are meant to make the rune for the potion you click them all to add it together instantly; I would have preferred having the player figure out how to piece the rune together.
