played this game as a kid and it changed my brain forever. I play this game (and the sequels) at least twice a year- would definitely recommend to those who enjoy dark fantasy and have a love for nature's whimsical feeling.3 found this helpful
definitely one of the best HOGs i've played. and i've played a lot.1 found this helpful
Grew up playing these. My favorite still as an adult, very good story. I'm so sad they canceled the last game...1 found this helpful
I liked the dark fantasy theme and that it’s a really casual game. The graphics and sound are beautiful. There is a good story that continuous in two other games (the fourth and final one was unfortunately cancelled). You play as a British lady that buys a house in the countryside, but not all is at it seems. There is a girl missing and a dark fey is on the loose. The only minor negative points I found are: no maps, only partially narrated, and sometimes you must click very precisely. It’s a strong four out of five for me. Can’t wait for the second part: Otherworld: Omens of Summer
One of the most enjoyable HOG games I have ever played. The puzzles were not overly complex or frustrating, and many were unique, not the same as often are seen repeated in these games. The story was layered and engaging, the graphics were beautiful. And it was a good length for a HOG game. Recommended. ^-^
Great artwork and good puzzles
