About Toadomination
Toadomination revives the best moments from the 90's era with action packed gameplay and that very special nostalgic feeling. This game is meant to be played like it’s 1995 again — no loot boxes, no battle passes, no grinding and paying to win. It’s only your skills that matter when it comes to Toad’s survival and total Toad Domination!
Key features:
Unique protagonist: trigger-happy Toad!
Retro twin-stick shooter mechanics: just like 20 years ago.
Easy to catch the flow: nothing to get you distracted from Toadpocalypse.
Dynamic soundtrack: enough to make you wish to smash more rebels.
Large variety of uncommon, odd and unique weapons to keep you rolling!
What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Toadomination is a Binding of Isaac-inspired top-down shooter with a frog protagonist that players find fun once they overcome the steep initial difficulty curve and learn weapon mechanics. The main criticisms center on punishing dodge mechanics, slow character movement, unbalanced weapon variety, and limited overall content depth, though some players report enjoying the gameplay loop enough to keep returning despite its short playtime.
Toadomination is more Russian GameMaker Studio copy+paste overpriced cash grab shovelware from the Russian developers at HugePixel, doing what they can to pollute Steam and lower the average quality of all games everywhere. Here, we have a 2D top down retro pixel wave survival shooter that seems to have been made by copying a basic template/asset pack from Yoyogames. You control a frog with a gun and you shoot waves of enemies and progress through a procedurally generated "Binding of Isaac" ripoff environment. There's nothing original here, and certainly nothing of interest to gamers (as the peak player counts reveal to be certainly true). From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of th…12 found this helpful
The concept is nice it reminds on The binding on isaac. but dodging is just too hard. Ur character is just too slow and u have the ability to teleport out of the bulletstorm.... but the teleport doesnt help that much... Some weapons rnt very balanced. There is nothing too op but medium or too weak. If u win the first bossbattle ill buy u a beer.6 found this helpful
It might be difficult at the beginning, but once you start figuring out the weapons and the enemys' behaviour it gets easier and real fun. It didn't take me long to finish the game, but I haven't stopped, because it's very much enjoyable still. I'd be happy if in the future more bosses were added and possibly new weapons. Conclusion: Good game, I recommend!1 found this helpful

https://youtu.be/i8_MtAB5t10 Offering only a few weapons with meaningful impact reduces the play space far too much to keep the game compelling overall.
>be me >be toad >get bullied daily by flies and other insects >they always call me names and tell me my lily pad smells like garbage >the worst is chad snake >tells me my gf has five feet and that he hopes I croak >seethe in my pond and wrestle with toad-based inner turmoil on a daily basis >finally decide that enough is enough >whip out my glock and start blasting >danny_devito.jpg >chad snake manages to slither away >chase him back to his nest with trigger finger down the whole way >dead insects everywhere >hear the supportive cries of my toad bretheren from above >other weapons start raining down too >find a legendary shotgun amongst the mess >father_gregori_laugh.wav >finally catch up to chad snake >"p-please toad we were just joking" >take a deep breath and pull the trigger >he croaks with the force of a thousand suns >go back to my pond and live happily ever with my toad gf and chemical pond water But yeah, the game isn't that great I'm afraid. It doesn't handle that well and needs a good deal more work before it's up to the standard of what you might expect from a game nowadays. It's a no from me.
