About Towerix91

Towerix91 is an incremental tower defense game in the style of PC games from the late 80s and early 90s. The interface, styled after old operating systems, creates the atmosphere of a classic strategy game on a vintage computer.Different types of crystals that drop from enemies are the key to leveling up. The branching upgrade tree offers dozens of options, where each branch splits in two, and the chosen path determines the strategy. More powerful upgrades require rare crystals, which forces you to think through the development of towers and the use of crystals as temporary upgrades during waves.Towers are placed along walls, their abilities are combined, and special skills and upgrades are used to repel the growing waves of enemies. Defeated enemies leave chests with temporary upgrades, gold, or debuffs.

Not really entertaining or balanced. You max out everything in under two hours with no challenge at all, and you're done. If this is what you want, it's fine, otherwise — not worth the time (nor money).

Solid little tower defense game that's leans much more towards the easy side. Game doesn't take too long to 100% taking me ~2 hrs to do.

Nice fun 3 hour game. Doesn't explain much, but a lot of things are self explanatory.

....this is 4 out of 10. why a thumbs up? theres a lot of potential???! cons -w/o any upgrades, i opened a chest which deleted my first tower on failure, which causes the run to end, really. boo!! -chests (always?) have a chance to delete the closest tower. they also cost $ to...avoid? to back away from? pro: theyre otherwise...upgraders, free money, free gems (upgrade meta tree and spells. and 1 level modular enchantments) con: they only appear in the first few waves. usually 3/12 waves. 10 levels, endless. etc. well. not much more for etc. -upgrade trees are...good but unevenly paced. green guy gets green gems rapidly (its a flamethrower tower. it just looks like a green berserker throwing axes or something, i wasnt paying attention i was watching...cheers? and some rlm, as always.) um. and yeah green gems get you a full kitted out green tree. you can convert gems, if you must to others. pro and con: you can finish the game in about 2 hours, or a dedicated hour or something. i wasted (at least) an hour on endless. this game can easily add a bit more. extremely tempted to give a negative review, but completionists might love it. i suppose it is NOT good value for $1=1 hour of fu…

very nice, although once you max out the upgrades it's a little bit too easy.

eh for $5 you get an ok time waster, it looks neat but after you get to the end there is no reason to keep playing or start over
