[h1]Casting curses has never been this much fun or risky... :o[/h1] [h2]Introduction[/h2] [i]TRUE LOVE'S CURSE[/i] is a fantasy, word puzzle visual novel developed and published by npckc. You're Matin the witch, and you're the owner of a magic shop that sells curses. As you're about to close shop for the day, a mysterious stranger appears, wanting a love charm and even offering to pay triple your usual price. Because the offer is extremely tempting, you agree to help out the customer. However, when that customer returns and wants another love charm, then you might start to suspect that something is off about them... As for the gameplay, when it comes to creating a curse, you're given a scroll that has the curse, and you have to fill in the question marks with certain phrases that are given to you. Depending on the combination of phrases chosen, either you'll progress with the story, getting the standard ending, or you'll get a bad ending. There are a total of 6 endings, and an epilogue is unlocked after obtaining all of them. Steam achievements are available, but they won't count towards a user's global total until the game is out of "Steam is learning about this game". …17 found this helpful
So, I'm a big fan of npckc. Which means I'm biased. With that said, I really liked this game. I like the music, the art, etc. The witch is a really fun character, and I like the (spoiler) lack of actual romance in this, and also the game is conscious of the creepyness of typical "love potions". I finished all that the game had to offer in 26 minutes, which is actually pretty short. Idk if the life expectancy-to-cost ratio will be a turn-off for anyone, being roughly the price of a box of Tic-Tacs but I'm mostly paying because I want to support a creator who's art I enjoy so I don't care all that much All in all, this game is cute and I like it, recommend, go check out more npckc games on Itch1 found this helpful

very charming! there's a lot of interesting little interactions available depending on which words of power you choose, and a little lore tidbit for those of you who've played kc's other games. it's a short game, so definitely go for 100% completion!
