It was quite the ride... At first it didn't have me, then I got interested, then thanks to a gamebreaking bug it once again lost me. At least each run isn't that long. What can I say? I already knew what kind of game it was, but there was NO build up, it basically got to it almost immediately which wasn't good imo. [spoiler]The fact that the chess wasn't the gameplay in the duels was kinda dissappointing too, as I sort of expected that[/spoiler]. The story then was interesting because I tried checking more endings, which there really isn't many, and the route had more stuff, well the first two times at least cus you got to check some different ways to reach the end, I kinda wanted to see where this mystery would lead, and then the gamebreaking bug happened. In my third run, at the start-ish, I was in the classroom with Yumiko, I went to the closet, then left and as I was leaving I quickly clicked to move and then selected hallway to hopefully move faster as I had accidentally gone to the closet. Right there the game was stuck as I couldn't interact, or move, or ANYTHING. Restarting didn't help either because it would simply put me exactly where I was, which was stuck. So I click r…

Okay, this one's been in my backlog for a while. In fact, I bought it back in winter sale '24. I wanted to try a VN in my backlog so here I am. No spoilers, don't worry. But no spoilers means no details. Tsunagari Chess School is something like Doki Doki Literature Club. It presents itself as some cutesy dating sim VN with steroetypical anime girl types only to throw you off with some shocking twist and a darker story in reality, and yeah it does that but, man it's just below mediocre. Plot feels like it's moving at a thousand kilometers per minute, it keeps you guessing and throwing you off, but it feels more like the write is throwing random stuff at you to try to surprise you. Unfortunately, I caught onto what's going on very quickly and saw a couple twists coming. It's something that I'm not laughing with. I'm laughing at. It just comes off as ridiculous. Relationships and character development happens in the blink of an eye and I seriously don't understand how no one is having a realistic human reaction to what's going on. It's pretty good! I do wish it gave a warning on wish routes haven't been completely done yet as it sometimes loops and some fights are a bit frame perfect to hit or laggy but I believe with more polish it would work out! I got the key for free but def it can work> Also when route with the boy free pls
