TURBOZOD

This game is a rerelease of Ultra Savage, which had to be pulled from the store. I adored Ultra Savage and have 100%'d it several times over. I was looking forward to doing the same here. Any excuse to replay a game I enjoy. Regrettably, Turbozod has some massive bugs and the developer is nowhere to be seen. Several of the achievements don't work, and the reset from cycle 14 to 15 is broken. The reset initially appears but is non-functional, and if you reload your game, it disappears completely. Even getting to LV200 again doesn't bring it back. This means that you're limited on how powerful you can make your equipment, and it's not enough to beat the final boss with. I've ran the game twice, done all the usual things of validating files, reinstalling, etc; the same occurs. It's a free game, and one that I like... so it sucks leaving a negative review. However, having a game you can actually beat and achievements which can actually be earned seems like a fair and reasonable baseline which has been sorely missed. TURBOZOD is an energetic action RPG built around rapid character growth, randomized equipment, martial arts combat, and the satisfying pursuit of increasingly ridiculous levels of power. TURBOZOD is a strange little action RPG that feels like someone took a martial arts game, an idle game and a loot grinder and threw them together. I play as a biological weapon that was created in a laboratory, had its memory wiped and then escaped into a galaxy full of enemies. The basic goal is to get stronger, travel between planets and eventually find the person responsible for creating me. The story is simple, but I like the ridiculous setup because it gives the constant fighting and collecting a reason to exist. The combat is built around speed and progression rather than complicated controls. I can fight enemies, collect equipment and keep increasing my attack speed until the numbers start getting pretty ridiculous. There are also active and passive abilities, stat points and a large skill tree, so I have quite a few ways to build my character. I like that I can actually make decisions about how I want to improve instead of simply replacing one weapon with another every few minutes. The seven equipment slots also give me another reason to keep looking for better gear. The loot system is probably the part that keeps me playing the most. Enemies and bosses can drop different…

I only rec this game if you have a LOT of time on your hands. I personally like the artstyle. and the gameplay is pretty fun (it's an idler, so you already know what you're getting yourself into). [h1] [b] HOWEVER... [/b] [/h1] This game comes to a [b] SCREECHING [/b] halt when you get to the point you're supposed to 'reset'. Farming feels endless. My reset point was at level 200, and after 5 straight hours I gave up. It wouldn't be SO bad if I didn't need to manually repeat battle after battle. This game lacks a lot of features that other idlers have. No auto repeat battles, meaning that you have to waste 2 minutes browsing your stash, clicking on repeat, resetting your powers to auto fire. No inventory filters either, and your inventory gets filled up FAST. Few bugs here and there, after ending certain levels, the fighter would continue fighting ad infinitum. Overall, it's a fun game, but I'll have to leave a negative review until these things get worked in.
