About TurnOn

The whole city has been plunged into darkness. After an accident in the power station, a living electric spark must restore electricity to the city and give citizens back their safe and carefree lives.

"TurnOn" tells the spellbinding tale of a brave alien creature and its striking journey through blackout world. Featuring a charming art style and visual storytelling, cute character personality, and a soothing and magical soundtrack, "TurnOn" makes the world the way it was before, but a little better and kinder.

FEATURES

 • Setting! Be surprised how the world depends on electricity and what can happen if it suddenly disappears. Solve puzzles and figure out how to turn on the lights in every home, as well as fight unexpected enemies!
 • Visual storytelling! Tired of all those dialogs in your video games? Never mind, in "TurnOn" everything is purely visual, and the entire story is told through what you see (and sometimes what you don't).
 • Platformer without platforms! The main character moves through the electrical wires. The mix of exploration and music levels makes the gameplay very immersive.
The creation of “TurnOn” was inspired by the global movement Earth Hour, which is held by WWF.

Pretty simple and partly easy arcade game. By controlling a revived electric spark, you need to help the city restore electricity in several areas. Turn on the lights, start the generators and air conditioners to complete the levels with three stars. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2758072895 You are also waiting for several "bosses" and a strange - but no less cute - the end of the game. Pros:

+ Good graphics
+ Nice soundtrack
+ Simple controls
+ Achievements
+ Trading cards for sale
Minuses:

- On levels with a chase, the firefly has unresponsive controls.
- Many bugs in which the hero can move through the air without using wires https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2758073120
- Physics "jumping" from the wires in the foreground - to the background. Works quite clumsily.
Result: Pretty simple game, straight out of 2016. Good for both kids and adults. I recommend the game for purchase - but at a discount.

This game is just a fun time to be had. Easy enough for people of all ages, with some challenging stages towards the end and during the auto moving stages. Art style is chunky, colorful and inviting. The soundtrack surprised me with the way it varied, from cozy to fast paced. It had me feeling like I was playing something cute in a coffee shop and at other times, a fast paced side scroller. Great entertainment, family friendly and just enjoyable.

This game isn't very engaging and many areas are downright frustrating. The foreground/background transitions alongside poor camera centering equate to a lot of blind jumps and difficulty telling where to go. In addition, the autorunner sequences don't really give you enough warning or time to react given the controls. Then there's that level with the rising current; the timing of the platforms was way off from a first cycle possibility and the rising shock doesn't stop during cutscenes. Then there's that weird glitch where you float on nothing... Turn away from this one, especially for a $15 price tag.

It's adorable and soothing, and just the right amount of challenging. You might have to replay levels several times, but it's only rarely infuriating- the controls are simple, the soundtrack's sweet, if a bit repetitive, and the graphics are cute. All in all, 8/10, definitely worth the price.
