Twilight Syndicate is a dark, story-driven strategy game built around managing a criminal organisation in a world where supernatural powers are becoming part of everyday life. I take control of a growing syndicate, recruit unusual characters, expand my influence and make decisions that can change how the story develops. I liked the combination of crime management and supernatural fiction because it gives the game a much more distinctive atmosphere than a standard gang-management game. The management side is probably what I enjoyed most. I have to decide how to spend my resources, which characters to rely on and where to expand my influence. Different members of the syndicate have different strengths, so building a team that works well together becomes important. I enjoyed experimenting with different combinations because the game encourages me to think about my organisation as a whole rather than simply making every character stronger. The supernatural setting gives the strategy a nice twist. Characters and situations can have abilities that completely change how I approach an encounter, and the world feels much stranger than a normal crime simulator. I liked discovering how the …

"Twilight Syndicate" is a mediocre attempt to make a side scrolling "film noir" detective story from Brazil. The plot follows a cop in Interpol chasing criminals, which involves gathering clues, clicking around on the screen, and trying to find a big bad guy called "The Gentleman". Well, I'm spooked. The quality is particularly poor and the visuals are an eyesore. There's an overwhelming amount of mediocre Visual Novel/E-book style cutscenes in this game. The developers failed one of the most basic, fundamental requirements of game design.. "Show, don't tell." So you'll spend a huge amount of time not playing the game, but clicking through endless lines of poorly written VN text cutscenes because the developers couldn't work out how to relate their narrative through the game mechanics, and decided instead it would be better to compete with reading a book for your time. We're here to play games, not read through hours of garbage intersituals. Your gaming rig is not a Kindle. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. Tried to solve a case “randomly” - didn’t work. Tried paying attention - got hooked. Great sign when a game rewards analysis instead of mindless clicking
