"A species at the end of it's line encased in a speedy ship, travelling across the stars with a sleeping creature in it's underbelly.
Hoping to rekindle the fire, a second chance at life they sped towards the planet to find their sanctuary.
But it the end what they found was only the darkness and a slow death.
They were playing with very life itself and now they would pay with their own.
Sometimes though from death springs new life and something below that cold soil still moves." The Writings of Uagi-Gretumo-Saba

I was excited upon finding this game that seems inspired by the old game Creatures, though I didn't play it, I like genetics games. Currently I do not find this game very engaging. The pace is extremely slow, made slower by the lack of speed options. There are some design choices that limit my entertainment. The creatures cannot walk around or interact with each other or the environment. They sit in their room, being animated simply to breathe and not much else. Additionally I notice it's been a long while since the game was updated...6 found this helpful
One of the best creature breeder's I've played. Also has some base building elements like what you would find in something like fallout shelter. The art is gorgeous and the game has such a cozy feeling to it in general. Def recommend.6 found this helpful
I enjoyed this game a great deal, but encountered recurring bugs. At some point in every game, I got a white pop-up window mentioning some sort of fatal error that then crashed my game. I think this was well worth what I spent for the journey, but it would have been nice to be able to see the ending, as well.3 found this helpful
Difficult to describe, good to play. I like the aesthetics and lore especially.2 found this helpful
For this game I'll be doing a Pro and Con-list to state my opinion: Pro: ~ Beautiful artstyle ~ Fun Progression-system ~ This is the biggest Pro, and this is why the review is positive: The developer appears to be a very kind soul and eager to get this game to its maximum potential, coming out with bugfixes a lot and caring about his playerbase. And this is why I hope that the bugs will get fixed. Con: ~ Game still needs lots of work -> Multiple bugs, some might flip you over - Not that much content so far, unlocked it all after like 5 or 6 hours, main point is on breeding, though, anyways. Speaking of breeding... ~ Bad luck can make you wait an hour or more to breed mystics together. If the first one you get ages really quick, the second one slower than a snail moves, you'll slowly start watching your first mystic die while the other one is stuck at childhood. REALLY annoying if this happens, sadly. ~ Can get boring after some time, especially if you unlocked all upgrades and don't get enough Fuel. ~ Many English grammar & spelling mistakes. The sum-up If you think about checking this game out, I'd recommend you to wait. Give it some mon…1 found this helpful
I have very mixed feelings about this game, but I feel inclined to express my inner critic. Uagi-Saba is a great game on paper. A little, chill, slow-paced colony sim about raising giant creatures and trying to rebuild society in a deep underground world. Plus, its module-based base growth system similar to fallout shelter is easy to understand, the little tidbits of lore scattereed around show a fully fleshed-out world, and the art style makes it a dream to look at. It's defenitely a nice cozy game. However, it's only that: a nice cozy game. Not a good cozy game, not a memorable cozy game, JUST a NICE cozy game, and even that's stretching it a bit thin. The gameplay is very slow, which is a mixed bag depending on who you ask, the noble guardians you raise are about as sturdy as a card house with several needs and heavy resource drain, and the module-based expansion makes correcting your mistakes either nigh impossible, very costly, or both. I feel somewhat bad about saying these things, because this game is clearly a work of passion with enough charm and style to choke a horse. With a bit more polish and balancing, this game could've been great. Instead, it's a mediocre digita…
