🎬 Dilly’s Review of Ultimate Theater Sim 🍿 I actually really enjoyed this one! Once I got my cinema employees set up to automate basically everything, it REALLY scratched that little grind + automation itch in my brain. 😂 Watching everything slowly get upgraded and streamlined was honestly so satisfying. That said… it is quite buggy. 🫠 I came across a few bugs that apparently have been reported for a year, which does make me wonder how actively the devs are tackling some of the ongoing issues. Despite the bugs, I still had a genuinely fun time with it! If you enjoy management sims, grinding, upgrading and automation, there's definitely some fun to be had here. And honestly… +1 popcorn because you can punch kids. 😭🍿 I don't make the rules. 💸 My verdict: Definitely grab it on sale rather than paying full price, especially while some of those bugs are still hanging around. 🍿 Dilly Rating: 4/5 Popcorns 🍿🍿🍿🍿 Fun, grindy, satisfyingly automated, occasionally buggy… and apparently the children are catching hands. 💀💜

This game was fantastic, my only gripe is that I wish there was more of it. The gameplay is wonderful; busy without being frantic, lots of things to manage like stock levels, staff, cleanliness, unruly customers. That said, this is my wishlist: I wish there were some more unruly customer scenarios, like people talking too loudly, or being on their phone scrolling. I also wish there was an option other than fisticuffs for shoplifters. They're often very close to other patrons and like 90% of the time, I can't hit them without clipping an innocent bystander. The AI for the restocking staff is really odd. I wouldn't mind it if I could assign certain products for each restocker, so they wouldn't both try to restock the same product at once. If I can't assign shelves/products by restocker, I would at least like to be able to assign priorities for each restocker, even categories of product would be cool; candy, hot food, paper products, (cups, popcorn tubs, cotton candy sticks) and plushies. The plushies is kind of an odd merch choice to be the only merch sold. I think blankets, cool popcorn buckets, t-shirts, whatever, those options would be a bit closer to reality. …

Really not Controller/Deck friendly. Tutorial doesn’t explain how to use the broom/mop and then it won’t progress when you figure it out. Had to exit the game twice to get past glitches, finally got to the point where I can open the theater but using the controller for money is not ideal and then people were leaving because their moving was starting? How do I change the times, why are they leaving, what am I doing wrong? Oh… those questions are unanswered because the tutorial doesn’t explain anything! I can see this being fun and super easy on the computer with mouse and keyboard but with the controller nope.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Recommended 19 hours played and I have apparently made “running fake businesses” my entire personality. 😂 If you’ve seen my Bookshop Simulator review, you already know I love these kinds of games. Give me something to organize, decorate, and manage while requiring approximately zero brain cells and I’m SOLD. Now instead of running a bookstore, I’m running a whole theater. I can turn my brain off, organize everything exactly how I want it, and somehow lose hours of my life doing it. Is this productive? No. Does it feel productive? Absolutely. 😂 Basically, I get to run a theater without having to deal with actual customers, employees, or real-world consequences. Perfect. 🎬🍿
