I love the weapons effects and lighting, but the ship and aiming mechanics are very wonky. The larger ships from cruiser to behemoth (mothership) are nearly as manoeuvrable as fighters, both you and the enemies. I don't mind my ship having awesome agility, but enemy capital ships moving around like fighters is very weird to watch. Also the aiming in this game is very hard to control. The aiming sensitivity is way to high and you can't change it in the settings. The slightest movement of the mouse throws your aim way off. It wouldn't be as bad if there was aim assist or a lock-on feature, but there is only lock-on for missiles and it's a very narrow lock-on window. This game has potential to be a good game with proper updates, but right now the gameplay is very wonky and strange.3 found this helpful
The expanse is immense and shrouded in darkness. Various vessels of extraterrestrial origin patrol the sectors. Choose a ship from the 43 available options, customize their weapon systems, and engage in immediate Space Vehicular Combat. While the visual effects of the weapons and lighting are impressive, the mechanics of the ships and aiming are significantly unbalanced. Large vessels, ranging from cruisers to colossal motherships, exhibit the same agility as smaller fighters, both for the player and the adversaries. My ship possesses excellent maneuverability, yet it is disconcerting to observe enemy motherships maneuvering like fighters. Furthermore, the aiming controls present considerable challenges. The sensitivity is excessively high, and there is no option to adjust it in the settings. Even the slightest mouse movement can severely disrupt aiming. The absence of an aim assist or lock-on feature, aside from a very limited lock-on for missiles, exacerbates the issue. This game holds promise for improvement with appropriate updates; however, the current gameplay experience is notably unbalanced and cumbersome.1 found this helpful
It's a very rare thing that I leave a negative review or request a refund, but on this occasion I'm afraid it's got to be done. The idea of the game is a good one; random battles with different classes of spaceships with different loadouts and stats, one of which is supposedly a Battle Royale mode. The reality? Every single vessel from a fighter up to the biggest cap ship dances around like...a fighter, while being ridiculously hard to hit and having the health of a rhino's backside. The 'Battle Royale' mode is just a big scrap with 40 ships where you're locked to one of three 'Decimator' classes. The controls are fine with a gamepad but abysmal with mouse and keyboard. Mapping strafe to A and D but having the arrow keys as your steering? Bad move. I know that making a game isn't an easy thing and I don't doubt that the dev put some real effort into this. Perhaps with a LOT more time in the oven it could be shaped into something much better, but as it is it just isn't fun to play. Advice to the dev: - Get the core mechanics of the gameplay locked down. Cruisers should not be flying around like starfighters. Starfighters should not take hundreds of shots to kill. - Give some…1 found this helpful
You're swarmed by enemies shooting at you, while your aiming is very twitchy. No graphics or control options other than M/KB or controller selection available - as bare bones as it gets. This doesn't work for me. Cannot Recommend.
