About Vorax
28/12/2024: Complete game official release
Welcome to Vorax, an Island of Horror and SurvivalVorax is an open-world survival horror game that plunges you into the heart of a Mediterranean island overrun by a mysterious infection. As a mercenary sent to investigate, what was meant to be a reconnaissance mission quickly turns into a fight for your life. The island is a living nightmare, inhabited by grotesque mutants, contaminated wildlife, and dark secrets waiting to be uncovered. Your objective: survive, adapt, and unravel the sinister truth behind Virus V.Survive by Any Means NecessaryIn Vorax, survival is not guaranteed. You must scavenge for supplies, craft tools, build shelters, and fight against overwhelming odds. Navigate a vast open-world environment, from abandoned farms to eerie laboratories, each holding pieces of the story and challenges that will test your limits. Utilize makeshift weapons, makeshift barricades, and explore the infected zones to push deeper into the island’s darkest corners.Dynamic Day-Night Cycle & Adaptive ThreatsThe island’s day and night cycle impacts the threats you face. By day, you’ll explore, gather supplies, and prepare for nightfall, when the mutated horrors become even more aggressive. You must decide whether to fight, hide, or simply survive until dawn. Vorax is about more than combat—it's about outsmarting the infection, managing your resources, and making hard choices. The Difference Between the Basic (Demo) Version and the Full VersionWe believe in giving players a real taste of what Vorax has to offer, which is why we’re proud to present two different versions of the game: the Basic (Demo) Version and the Full Version. Both versions provide access to the entire game world, allowing you to explore every zone, face every enemy, and experience every story element without major content restrictions. The only difference between the Basic and Full Versions lies in saving your progress. In the Basic Version, you can only save at checkpoints, creating an intense survival experience where every encounter is high-stakes, and each trip to a safe area is a moment of hard-earned relief. This approach adds tension to your exploration, making every decision matter more.In contrast, the Full Version gives you the freedom to save anywhere, at any time. This is a complete game changer. It allows you to take risks, explore freely, and engage with the world in a less restrictive way. Whether you have just a few minutes or several hours to play, you can choose how to progress without the anxiety of reaching the next checkpoint. This freedom transforms how you tackle the challenges of Vorax, making it accessible for all play styles.Constant Updates, Shared ContentImportantly, both the Basic and Full Versions are identical in content. You’ll receive every update, patch, and improvement at the same time, whether you are playing the Basic Version or have upgraded to the Full Version. Your feedback from both versions will help us shape the future of Vorax, and we are committed to ensuring that all players have the most up-to-date, improved experience possible.Key Features of Vorax:
In VORAX, your wits, will, and courage are the only things standing between life and a gruesome fate. Prepare to face a relentless enemy that hunts you relentlessly. Can you survive the horrors of the island and uncover its darkest secrets? The challenge awaits.

The fact that Vorax is still listed like any other game, still being sold is quite an important reminder that Valve needs to rethink and update their rules/policies when it comes to unfinished/scammy products. The first Vorax demo caused a big wave and left positive vibes among the survivalcraft enthusiasts. The setting was interesting, the eldritch looking abominations player had to deal with were also something that wasn't really done to death within the openworld survivalcraft genre, the story was nothing revolutionary but engaging enough, and we were looking forward to the full release. Then, another demo was released, and weird thing - not only were there no significant improvements/expansions to be seen, the whole thing somehow felt and played worse. Still, full of good vibes from the initial (at that point already a year old) showcase, i gave the game benefit of a doubt and got it as soon as it released. The initial feeling was baaad. Game was buggy as hell, basic features were missing, some ingame instructions even pointed player in the wrong direction, but it still had interesting vibe, and at that point there wasn't reason to think this is gonna be a stinker. I THOUGHT …12 found this helpful
I swear the devs have no idea what they're doing with this game. I had such high hopes and waited for the full release of this game for so long but now it appears to be abandon-ware. It was seriously fine at the very beginning, all the had to do was build off of that. They've changed it so much it's just lame now.9 found this helpful
this game is pretty much dead, the devs went radio silent for a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ year only to finally make a post the pretty much amounts to. "sorry we didnt update you guys on anything or update the game in anyway but please support this other game we have been working instead of updating the game that is pretty much a buggy demo that we are charging money for" do not waste your money on this crap. the devs have petty much abandoned this game seeing as they already said they are working on a different game.8 found this helpful
developers abandoned the game and decided to work on another project and want you to buy that instead.3 found this helpful
Vorax is a first-person open-world survival horror experience developed and published by IndieGala. Set on a remote Mediterranean island devastated by a mysterious biological outbreak, the game blends elements of survival simulation, exploration, crafting, and tense combat into a single atmospheric experience. Rather than presenting a traditional linear horror story, the game places players inside a hostile sandbox where survival depends on careful resource management, strategic exploration, and the ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment filled with mutated threats. The design focuses heavily on vulnerability and uncertainty, encouraging players to approach every encounter cautiously while uncovering the disturbing secrets hidden across the island. The story begins with a military operation intended to contain a deadly infection known as Virus V. A battalion sent to investigate the outbreak mysteriously vanishes, leaving behind only fragments of communication that suggest something went terribly wrong. The player assumes the role of a mercenary hired to investigate the disappearance and gather intelligence about the outbreak. However, the mission quickly spirals into cha…2 found this helpful
