About Vortex: The Gateway
Vortex: The Gateway is an open world survival horror game with two game modes.
Due to a mysterious dimension vortex you will find yourself on an alien planet. Explore, adapt, build and fight to survive. You will have to face the dangers of the planet at different times of day, at changing temperature, hungry or thirsty. You can explore spectacular and dangerous places where you always remain a prey for the local species. If you want to survive then be alert, sneak, build and fight. Meanwhile life back on Earth changes dramatically. What changes? You will get bits of information through your adventure in the story mode. Maybe you can even get back home...
In survival mode you have to take care of your friend Mike, who has a severe leg injury. You have to keep him alive and protect him from the dangers of the island. The dangerous aliens feels the weakness and will try to hunt him down. Don't let them succeed. Build and collect resources at day, plan your strategy to keep the attackers out at night. More and more might come as the days passes.

During the Greenlight era, many were invited to a group with a promise of a free copy of this game. When they "ran out of keys", they kicked us out of the group. This game was made by a bunch of lying crooks. The game itself is not bad though. An open world survival game that is unpolished, underdeveloped, glitchy, buggy, and regularly faulty, that still manages to be fun and rewarding. Positive: - While unoriginal and derivative, the story and premise are fun and intriguing, placing the player in an alien realm that is not too geographically dissimilar from Earth. The flora and fauna are sufficiently familiar to Terran players while also offering some exotic locations to see and to survey. - Crafting schematics and recipes are easily and readily available. There is no guesswork involved in terms of planning for items to be assembled or to be prepared. All components and ingredients are clearly displayed in a manner that is simple to follow and intuitive to complete. - Although not exhibiting very high-quality assets, the prevailing atmosphere is serene, yet treacherous. Most aliens and creatures present a good challenge in fighting and in hunting, creating a setting that is equally engaging and foreboding. There are many regions to visit and to discover, and there are numerous enemies and beings to encounter. - Journeying is productive and satisfying. Seems like this was abandoned in place, do NOT buy
I bought it in Tesco. 30 fps melts my eyes but its from Tesco so i wont complain.
