Voxel Crusade combines RTS with RPG, it is a base building game plus you as the ruler play your own character. You can gather resources, build and fight.
Every map has different challenges like different biomes, natural disasters, different enemies, different spacings, ...
You can watch every unit in the game walk around, do their job and fight from a third- or first person view.
Sorry guys, but the developement of the game has been stopped. It is fully playable but there most likely wont be any more updates.

The game itself doesn't even work. You cannot load into levels or do anything else for that matter really2 found this helpful

Oh man! I wasted 15 minutes of my life trying to play this game and another 5 bothering to write about it. The game is broken. Spent 10 mins just trying to figure out how to place the first building. Wasn't able to. I thought I was late night retarded until I read other reviews saying others were also having issues with the game not working. In addition to not being able to build anything (and I was reminded countless times to build my fricken Stockpile first), my mouse (or sword) would randomly disappear. I was attacked - by nothing - while floating in the void. In the end, it's hard to enjoy a game that isn't playable. I really wanted it to work, but now I gotta free up the almost 3 GB of space that it's taking up. On a positive note, the game at least quit when I exited the game.
Игра Voxel Crusade – это неожиданно увлекательное сочетание стратегии, строительства и воксельной графики. С первых минут затягивает процесс создания собственной базы, добычи ресурсов и исследований. Бои, хоть и выглядят просто, тактически довольно глубоки и требуют планирования. Разнообразие юнитов и технологий позволяет выстраивать разные стратегии, что делает каждую игру непохожей на предыдущую. Однако, стоит отметить некоторую визуальную простоту. Воксельный стиль, конечно, имеет свой шарм, но текстуры могли бы быть более детализированными. Интерфейс удобен, но иногда кажется немного перегруженным информацией. Несмотря на это, геймплей настолько захватывающий, что эти недостатки практически не замечаешь. Voxel Crusade – отличный выбор для тех, кто любит стратегии в реальном времени, но устал от сложной графики и хочет чего-то более расслабляющего и казуального. Определенно стоит попробовать!
