VR Hybrid War 2117 - VR is a free to play shooter game. It worked on my system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok, was understandable. By default, You have teleport movement and can teleport quickly, can change to smooth walking. The shots move slower on both sides, you can dodge and you need to lead your shots. You have some cover. Enemies come in from 360 dome. Needs tutorial and instructions but was able to figure out somethings. Has language switch between English and Chinese. Try it, if you like shooter games.

"VR Hybrid War 2117 - VR 混合战争 2117" asseyfliplowkey What do you do in the game? This is just a basic VR tech demo. It's a basic space shooter in a space station, shooting at probes and enemy spiders. The goal is to destroy specific targets at the enemy base. Controls are basic and the movement is teleport-style, the developers couldn't work out how to do proper locomotion. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design... if the only cool thing about your product is VR support, your product is not cool. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $5 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. Here is the last conversation I had with the game creator on Oct 22 2019: I asked: Is VR Hybrid Wars still being developed? Will it ever work with the Oculus Quest / Riff S ? Response was: Hellou! Unfortunately I have no time to develop it nowadays, but you never know what happens in the future:) Anyway, there is this vrtk4 component under development, which should make the porting really easy from HTC Vive to other platforms. So, if I ever have time, I may give it a try and maybe publish more missions:) That was the last I ever heard or saw happening with this game unfortunately because It's a pretty cool little game.
