暖雪 Warm Snow

I like almost everything about this game: the art style, the theme, the combat. But it has one major flaw: the meta-progression. This is a rogue-lite, which makes meta progression very important. It's horribly slow to upgrade. That alone ruins an otherwise amazing game.

Personally don't understand the praise for this game. It's not bad, but it isn't very good either. The biggest issue is the lack of variety in how you actually play. The deity you pray to at the start of the game has a decent impact, but beyond that you don't actually have to change your playstyle or plan based on what items and skills you get. Most of the item effects have a decent level of complexity, but they mostly just boil down to "when X condition is met, do X% more damage" or "When you do X attack, add this effect or more damage". There are combos you can do but it all just boils down to doing lots of extra damage and occasionally adding statuses that mostly just do more damage if you can get the right combination of items. Not to mention that unlike many other roguelites, you don't get procedurally generated areas to explore, it's linear and identical every time. There are some branching paths you can take with different mini-bosses in the middle of each area, but the variety is quite low. Great build variety, but very monotonous enemies. The boss fights are cool though.

The game has no procedurally generated content, but there is a decent amount of replayability. After having finished the story, I am still sometimes picking it up just to enjoy the feeling of combat. Highly recommended.

Definitely one of my favourite roguelites out there the Item system is pretty unique and allows a ton of build variety with all the different synergies between classes weapons and relics there is also quite a lot of content even if the game isnt perfect because it doesnt always describe clearly the effect of some things it may be due to the sometimes rough translation even if the harder difficulties has some interesting perks a lot of time ennemies just feel like huge HP bags if you dont have a really good build or you are early in the run besides that i strongly recommand this game
