Winter Burrow

Cute concept, not enough substance. I liked the art style, and there were a few heartfelt story beats. But after the first few hours, most of my game time was spent aimlessly wandering and gathering to kill time waiting for items I needed to progress to respawn. There just weren’t enough character interactions or story to make it feel worth it.

Winter Burrow is a charming but very short game. If you're looking for 50+ hours of gameplay, deep mechanics, or challenging enemies, this one probably isn't for you. That said, it's a really pleasant game to just relax with, a perfect example of a cozy game. There are some survival elements, and hunger or cold can make you a bit nervous at first, but you'll get the hang of it after a few minutes. The story is cute and some characters are interesting, though everything feels a bit brief because of the short length. That's actually where I see a lot of potential for the developers, since the game's world is pretty interesting, but again, don't expect tons of depth. In short, it's a small, heartwarming game you could finish in a single day if you wanted to. Just take it for what it is: a cozy experience to enjoy on a rainy night with a warm cup of tea.

I love this game and the story. A little bit of action but also crafting which is great. I love decorating my tree stump house and going out and collecting material. I really hope more content is added to it in the future!

Game started with the promise of helping a mouse survive a bleak winter in a desolate unforgiving world. But it's none of those things. The mouse only has to worry about freezing, and then only barely. You easily get enough food, and you soon have clothes nice enough for warmth. This may be because it starts you off (by default) on "story mode", but there's no real story, so that only serves to highlight how shallow the experience has been. Enjoyed it for about an hour, played for many more, always hoping that some layer of complexity would emerge. Oh and for some reason it believes I need to have two pick axes and will mail me a new one if I drop either of them.

Cozy game, moving back to the "country" from city life and making friends with your neighbors. You get to decorate your home and it wasnt scary, i get scared easily.
