What Happened On The Moon is a free and short 2D adventure/mystery game, or rather a prologue/first chapter of a longer game to come, maybe. It mainly consists of driving (or frustratingly moving obstacles, keeping the vehicle's batteries topped up, and trying to drive) a lunar vehicle across the Moon's surface to investigate what triggered a proximity alert. Judging by the update messages, I've fortunately played a simplified version of the original game with more checkpoints, less difficulty in traversing the terrain, and much less back-tracking; I'm pretty certain that I would have not recommended the original game. As I feel that the story and the graphics (particularly early on) are much more appealing than the actual gameplay - i.e. the game could have been better done as a visq5ual novel, perhaps - I can only give a lukewarm recommendation for this updated version in the hope that the story continues in a later update or in another game.1 found this helpful
lovely little game, pixel art is awesome, sound effects fit the enviroment, gameplay is smooth and the story is engaging. I hope the developer keeps on delivering!
This is a lovely little story with a little bit of action to move it along. Fun stuff.
Moon’s weird. Game’s weirder. I liked it.
It's neat! I'm on board for what's next.
Really atmospheric and stylised game. Gripping story, excited to see where this goes next! I'll be watching this developer :)
