WILD HEARTS™ offers engaging Soulsborne-style combat with unique weapons and creative building mechanics that players find satisfying once mastered, but it suffers from significant performance issues including stuttering, lag, and crashes that have gone unpatched. The game is hampered by lazy monster designs, an unfinished story, lack of post-launch content, and the requirement for an EA account, leading most players to recommend it only if purchased during a substantial sale rather than at full price.

I got this game during an 80% off sale, so I got to ignore the $69.99 price tag. And you know what? It's been incredibly fun. First impression, Monster Hunter. In actuality, Soulsborne combat. Monsters' attacks are slow and dramatic, and will crush you in just two or three hits, even in the early game. But once you've finally studied their movements, it's so satisfying. As for the weapons, they're surprisingly unique, and thankfully simpler than the ones in Monster Hunter, but still offer enough dynamism to stay engaging. Then there's the building aspect, which doubles as a satisfyingly customizable fast-travel system and chaotic pocket thingamajigs to dent your victim's head in. There are key moments when using them at the right time provides the greatest benefits, but just spamming them whenever they're up also pleases a stupid itch. The story's just okay, although it had a fantastic final boss that I will not spoil. There's only two downsides I have for this game. The first is a somewhat inconsistent movement system, as I'm unable to turn in place at times. The second is, unfortunately, EA's decision to stop adding more content. However, I still enjoy what this game is.1 found this helpful
Decent game if you are looking for an MH spinoff that tries something different. HOWEVER -The game will never receive anything new -Story is nonexistent/unfinished -Its an EA game (requires creation of EA account/installation of EA launcher) -Their reuse/reskins of monsters for the later game is very lazy and changes little to nothing about them -Clunkier feel to combat than in MH -Crashing issues for seemingly no reason -The "combat buildings" can almost completely be ignored (that could be a good or bad thing depending on who you are) -Some optimization issues1 found this helpful
not fun, laggy. chasing boss 1 hour then get stunlock and 1shot, skill issue. but also laggy on my specs 1440p60fps. weird.
