Super cute art and animation! Really fun to play as well, even though I'm not normally big on platformers!1 found this helpful
Decided to grab this game and give it a go. It’s not a very long game, and that’s ok. I don’t mind my short and sweet games at all. Gameplay has a lot of solid ideas, and most of it is realized. The momentum based platforming was introduced early on, but didn’t really feel integrated into the later 2 stages unfortunately. I liked the idea of using the environment to increase your jumping distance, as it gave a pretty satisfying flow to general basic movement. I would see platforms and think to myself if I could make it there with just my basic jump. There were no enemies to speak of, no bosses, it was just RAW platforming challenges with a few collectibles and some tricky hazards. I couldn’t seem to find anything the collectibles did, but I went outta my way to get every one of them I could find, and they presented some good challenging segments. The “sling shot” mechanic that was introduced in stage 2 was well utilized and made me work for collectibles. I also had a lot of fun working with it as a potential movement option, bringing the pace of the game even higher and allowing for some neat movement options. While I typically prefer my game to have bosses or enemies of some k…
I thought It was good, It felt like it could've refined a bit of the level mechanics, for instance there were these moving platforms that the character model didn't actually rest physically on all of the time- so it also lead to me slipping off of them sometimes. The game crashed once too (not sure why). In my opinion there should maybe be more indications or less visual "smearing"? Sometimes the background was way too similar to the foreground you can interact with- so I would bump into stuff or just not land somewhere where I thought I could. Overall other than the fast difficulty spike with the platforming at the end it wasn't bad at all, I kind of wanted more levels or more of a real goal for the ending but for a cute little game it was definitely enough. Music was very pretty and the art was consistent and matched the vibes well!
