About Window Of Perspectives

Everyday we can get glimpses at others life through their windows, but what you understand is up to your own perspective.

In Window of Perspectives, you're tasked to review tapes send by an unknown organisation from the perspective of a window and much more. Discover an anthology of small stories through simple puzzle solving.
  • Find clues hidden in those tapes to understand the situation.
  • Connect them to gather more information with a Search fonction.
  • Decide if they are simple everyday situations or accept a stranger and darker reality.
  • Your interpretation may alter future tapes and have other consequences.
All of this can be changed dynamicaly and easily at anytime.
You only need a mouse to play this game.
It is only available in English.

This is still early access and a long ways out from completion. So I'm not recommending it on the strength of the full game, which is unknown, but the cool potential the early access copy shows. You have a limited 3D perspective to examine each mystery scene through a window, gathering clues and assembling them Golden Idol-style into a summary of what happened. But you gather clues not just from the scene, but by combining relevant ones in a search engine to dig up more clues. The real twist is that each scenario seems to have two possible solutions: a mundane one and a weird paranormal one, and how you solve one scenario will affect what plays out in its follow-up. That's a cool twist, and I'm interested to see where the developer takes it. The current product is rough around the edges with some spelling mistakes, but I think it's well worth a wishlist or follow to keep track of as it moves through development.

For anyone looking for more Golden-Idol cases, this game really helps scratch that itch. At the same time, this game also stands on it's own merits. The culty, spooky vibes really work well. It's still very early-access, but new cases are being added regularly and I'm really curious to see how this game develops.

Unfortunately, I can't bring myself to recommend this game. It tries to be an interesting puzzle game, but it ends up being a poor Golden Idol clone with the only difficulty in the puzzles being the use of the clunky search system. These games are meant to make you think, but the scenarios are far too easy to piece together for that to be the case here.

I really love the concept, art direction, and vibes of this game! It's early access, so it's still kind of rough around the edges, but I think it's going to be great. For now, there are two main sticking points: - The search function is pretty clunky, requiring you to match specific words together that are not always intuitive. Because the hint function only gives you a hint to the solution, and there is no way to get a hint re word matches, I found myself having to brute force word combinations on more than one case. When at least one case has forty words to find, this can get a bit tedious! It can also sometimes be a bit buggy. - The ideas and the cases are very solid, but the writing is also clunky and there are a lot of errors. In a lot of games this would be less of a problem, but sometimes the awkwardness genuinely makes it harder to solve cases. Please get someone to proofread, it would instantly improve the game experience! Hell, I'd do it for you!

Fun Curse of the golden idol-like.
