Although the game can have some fun gameplay at times, it's primarily in a few specific fights few and far between, with the rest being battles against weak mobs that are too weak to offer a challenge and be worth using a big deck against but too strong to be killed in one turn, so it's just empower or blade into an AOE over and over in those battles. Also, unlocking any of the fun stuff requires either dozens of hours of grinding just to have access to the "path a/b/c" of your spells that aren't just raw damage with a different animation, as well as gear, and unlocking even just arc 1 is over 50 bucks. Apart from the gameplay, the storylines and worlds and models are mostly bleh, once I got to Zafaria it started getting more exciting, but still just decent and not something special/memorable/emotional, but definitely better for pushing some immersion and reason to do the combat that is the main draw of the game than what came before. The first world used to be ok, now wiz city is so awful I mute dialogue and skip it as fast as possible so I'm exposed to it the least I can when starting a new wiz (such as for getting spellements just to unlock those alternate spell paths).
