If you want to relax b4 going to bed is a good game. Woodle Tree 2: Deluxe+ 7/10 Heisen4 found this helpful
This is a mostly simple 3D platforming collectathon. This game is easy except for a couple of the secret levels. The 100% is a little tedious without a guide but doable. This is a 5/10 game but still recommended for casual 3D platformer fans. It does have some bugs but those can be mitigated with fast travel!2 found this helpful
Definitely an improvement from the first game but still very janky in some areas. Personally still couldn't get into it but if you pick it up heavily discounted, Maybe give it a go then?
Very close to a great game but I cannot recommend at full price. (It's okay at less than a dollar) The worlds are fairly unique in music and theming. The opening plot and reason to collect the water drops is fine. I think it needs one or more of the following: More character dialogue. Unless I'm stupid (possible) there is only really any talking characters in world 1. The rest just stand and do an idle animation. More clear goals. There are signs with arrows and checkpoints and the drops make a clear sound when you get close. It might be alright if the game was linear, but it is not at all linear. The map has a low resolution. Checkpoints feel sparse or hard to find. (They look like a stump, no glow or contrasting colors.) The drops' sound is helpful to find them once you are close but there is no visual indicator or hinting on where in the world they are. No mark on the map, no glowing thing in the distance, no NPCs hinting on where approximately they are. More interesting environments and enemies. The area between worlds feels very empty. Most enemies have simple movement and ignore the player. The ones that do target you can be easily avoided. Most of the world is ver…
I played the original Woodle Tree 2 a long time ago (apparently around 10 years ago) so I really wanted to revisit this deluxe version. I love it! Something about the Woodle series just feels very cozy to me. The characters are very happy and cute, the environments are pretty and expansive, and it is easy to get into whenever you want. The simple and colorful art style just really relaxes me and in turn makes me happy too :) There's honestly a lot of secrets and optional collectibles, which reward you if you collect enough (mainly the blue berries, I really suggest getting the triple jump and the every leaf strike creates a projectile powerup). The main objectives you have to collect are surrounded by different kinds of platforming challenges that require you to improve your skill with the character, and I had fun finally getting to different places that I was trying to find my way around. I'm sure that in a lot of places too, there were much more ways than one to get to the goal! I also really like the sleeping flower challenges. If the main game feels too light for you (even though there's a ton of fun places to platform), these will definitely put your skills to the tes…
