About Wordsearch Attack
WORDSEARCH ATTACK
Find the list of words hidden on the board.
Wordsearch games stimulate memory and observational skills, improve concentration, patience and persistence and can help develop problem solving skills.
That's because you need to remember what you are looking for, make a strategy of how you are going to tackle finding the words, and execute your plan.
They are also a relaxing distraction, or a frustrating challenge - depending on your point of view.
Some features of the WORDSEARCH ATTACK game:Find words horizontally, vertically, diagonally*, forwards, backwards, around corners... Select the first cell/letter of a word in the list, and then the last cell/letter of that same word, and it's marked off. Examples of how to do this are by clicking on the two cells in that order, click-dragging from the first to last cell, clicking on the last cell then double clicking on the first cell. Various mouse, keyboard and touch screen supports. You can play against the clock or not have a clock and just take your time. Progress saves when you exit, come back later to finish a board. You don't need to solve a board in a single session. Finish the board by finding all the words in the list.
Notes
This game is a version of the wordsearch game that is integrated into the Word Attack game suite. Additional to this game, the version in Word Attack can utilise the Voxel designer so you can create your own boards, as well as having workshop support (it also includes a number of other types of game). There should be little to no reason to buy this game if you already have the full Word Attack. You can upgrade from Wordsearch Attack to Word Attack via the Wordsearch Attack to Word Attack upgrade bundle.
* Boards with hexagons do not place words "diagonally", words on hexagons are placed along the 3 primary axis of the hexagon.

I enjoyed it. It's worth a dollar. The Developer seems active and improving it from the threads I see. I like the Cylinder, Hex, and Grid modes the best, so far. The Cube one seems interesting, but it's a bit disorienting. I will have to try it more later. Also, I enjoy how much customization there is. I wish there were more fun word lists to use. I wish you could change the background and color scheme, though. I would like a black and white title look with a night sky background. I think the user interface could have a more modern feel to it, but but I enjoy how you could enlarge and zoom in/out on everything. The controls are kinda hard to use with the mouse, so I use Aswd keys, mostly. It would be nice if you could just rotate along a certain axis without flipping it everywhere, like Blender does. All in all, not bad. I was going to buy a word search at the store, and it was 8.99. This app is only 99 cents, lol. If you don't like word search, you will probably not like this. If you just want to word search like you would in magazines, it's not that bad. Thx. Now if I want to word search on the computer, I could. I just wish there were more interesting word lists. Initially I encountered issues running this on steamdeck. Its designed for windows. I have since talked with the dev and after some testing I found it does run on steamdeck but you have to turn off an in-game feature called active lighting to prevent screen issues. There is still some difficulty on steamdeck reading the in-game settings screen. I ran with the current stable proton 8.0,5 release and the game ran fine. If it matters I also had the game installed on my internal steamdeck drive. On Windows it ran fine out of the box. If I could mark this playable on steamdeck I would. Since it appears turning that setting off in-game makes it work fine. Its a fun game. Select the letter beginning a word then select the last letter of the word and it will highlight and give a nice little explosion look and sound. Meanwhile tilting and turning the board to find the words. Selecting the first and last letter of a word also de-selects it. Pretty simple interaction. Its actually quite challenging and takes a bit of time spinning the baord around hunting. Some words are english, some are not. It gives a nice little definition of the word for ones that you may not know, but it only shows that…3 found this helpful
