Yohane the Parhelion is an official spin-off of ""Love Live! Sunshine"". 『Yohane the Parhelion - NUMAZU in the MIRAGE -』 is a deckbuilding roguelite set in that world.
While working as a fortune teller in Numazu, Yohane spends her days with her friends.
By chance, she comes into possession of an old mirror.
Worried that her fortune-telling isn't accurate, Yohane decides to perform ""Magic Mirror Fortune-Telling"" using it.
Suddenly, the mirror begins glowing, and sucks Yohane in!
What she finds in the mirror is ""Reverse-Numazu,"" which is a reversed replica of the real Numazu!
Moreover, in that mysterious world, magic could be used with the power of cards.
At the same time, strange things begin happening to her friends in the real world, one after another.
In order to save them, Yohane must go through ""Reverse-Numazu""!
What awaits her?
A mysterious mirror world that changes each time it's entered.
After countless choices, what future will Yohane choose?
A new story begins in the other Numazu!

Only recommended if buying during a sale. When playing as the main character, Yohane, your progress is saved after each chapter, however if you bought any additional character DLC and play with anyone *other* than Yohane, you will essentially play an arcade game where either you 1-credit clear or fail and start from the beginning. Had checkpointing or at least a Continue screen been introduced it would have saved players hours of gameplay. There is a lack of diversity of backgrounds and BGMs, and enemies do not seem to rotate that often (I have encountered one enemy type twice in quick succession). Battling in the same area and listening to the same BGM all the time does wear me down a little bit. At least, if only there were additional rotating BGMs or backgrounds to keep things fresh. At the time of writing, there is no in-game help option as far as I can see (This may be incorrect.) Personally, it is very disappointing that there is no voice-over (dialogue SFX only) after the first chapter.

The rest is ok and the battle animations are a bit lack luster. [h1]Gameplay (6/10)[/h1] My second roguelite game. I had a bit of fun and it was made in a way such that the progess is saved after each story chapter. There are only a few of them and once I beat them all I was done with the game. [h1]Sound (5/10)[/h1] Average. Nothing stood out. [h1]Performance/Configuration/Settings (9/10)[/h1] No crashes. Didn't miss anything [h1]Misc[/h1] Maybe I am missing some context since this seems to be part of a bigger franchise.

It's a really cute game and I like the mechanics, the outfits and the concept but I wish there was a way to start the game over without having to do into regedit and the like.... ick
