Touhou Dou Dizhu, TUA is alright. It has some big issues, but since it seems to be getting updates I'm willing to give it positive review. The Steam screenshots are pretty bad, they have text errors not present in the actual game. How it actually works is that you get a series of events organized based on incidents: fights, shops, player's choice, and the boss battle of an incident. The same opponent can be both an easy fight, hard fight, and/or boss of incident and they have more abilities active the stronger they are. You play Dou Dihzu hands to defeat them. Different enemies are vulnerable (double damage) to different hands, except the final boss, who seems to always be vulnerable to ace pairs only. The system is pretty good. It places related opponents and gives each incident its own feel. The deck progression is where the game tries to follow Balatro, but it doesn't really work. The final boss is the hardest part of a run by far and you don't get anything for winning each battle quickly. The obvious strategy is to try dragging on each fight to make the most out of your card stickers (upgrades). There is a limit to this: unlike poker, dou dihzu hands can't contain extra card…

Game just dropped out of nowhere and i check youtube too if there's a trailer or some kind of promotional stuff and there's nothing. I think the game looks promising. I have only played one run but immediately i noticed one bug where the text placement are out of place for the english language. that's all, i'm glad to discover the game the same day that it drop.
