Do yourself a favour and steer clear of this dog turd of a game. I’m reviewing this because I was forced at gunpoint to play this for 60 minutes and I don’t want anyone getting the wrong idea and picking this up based on my playtime.
PROS

+ that feeling of relief when you exit out of the game. Playing Zombie Golf is nothing short of torture. That exit game option made me feel all warm and tingly.

+ this is someone’s work. Look. I couldn’t even make this and someone did. So they are already a more qualified programmer than me and I applaud the effort it must take to learn a skill like coding. Also it’s a free market and you can decide to put something out for nothing or to charge for it. If this game was free and it was someone’s first attempt and making a game and they wanted to test it out on Steam then I wouldn’t be here. But it costs money and it says it’s in EA and it hasn’t been updated in a year. This game is going nowhere.

CONS

- golfing surgeon simulator. The controls are so bad for this game its laughable. But its not funny in a Surgeon Sim or Ampu-tea way. The angle on the ball makes no sense, you …41 found this helpful

Warning: Asset Flip!
Zombie Golf is a Digital Homicide style asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unity asset store packs, dumped them all in a blender, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers. Two notable criteria for what makes an asset flip instead of legitimate use of stock assets are whether those assets comprise the majority of the game, and whether the "developer" properly credited the people who created most of the assets in the game. This game fails both of those tests. The "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware. This asset flip is some basic golf minigame that the developer dropped a bunch of asset flipped zombies and a ruined city scene on top of... it's bad as a golf game, the developer didn't really know how to use the golf mechanisms properly... this is just a dogs breakfast, its poor quality even compared to other asset flips. The developer couldn't even be bothered finishing the asset flip bef…5 found this helpful
"Zombie Golf" is a failed Kickstarter project that was launched into Early Access anyway. And that's the last anyone has heard from the developer as the game was never updated and is now stuck in EA hell. In it's current state it's a mess of store assets barely held together by glue and Playmaker visual scripting. The small bits of code that aren't Playmaker could be easily traced to public Github projects and tutorials. In short: the "developer" had absolutely no idea what the hell they were doing and just gave up. The empty shell of a game that's left behind is a strange blend of golfing and zombie shooting. You can select a character - not that it matters as both are able to hit golf balls with equal skill - and get spawned into a ruined city where zombies are just standing around twiddling their rotting thumbs. You can shoot them with golf balls using the well known mechanics introduced by PGA Tour Golf and Links back in the day. Sometimes you hit a zombie, sometimes you should hit a zombie but don't because the collision check didn't work, sometimes you manage to hit one of the…4 found this helpful
Good luck aiming. The game has 4 holes. That cost me 25 cents per hole.3 found this helpful
