About Zombie Quarantine

Lead survivors out of many complex mazes while quarantining or curing the infected. This game will test every ounce of your mental skills.

The basic rules:

A set number of the civilians)must reach the exit zone.
A set number of zombies have to be eliminated before the time runs out.
...Oh and if a zombie reaches the blue area, you are penalised two points.

Plus:

The green characters (the army) act as towers, and can't move. But they will kill any character. Beware.
The white characters are scientists, and they can cure zombies back into civilians.
There are buttons at the top of the screen which let you end the game, or reset the current level. Press ESC anytime to bring up the save and load menu.
There are 20+ levels.
The first level is a tutorial which will explain the game in more detail.

This game is tricky, but there are tactics which will help:

1) Units change direction when they are in the middle of certain paths such as the corners and the T-sections. They will also change direction if they run into a wall, or another unit.

2) Scientists have a range of about 1 & 1/2 halls. When you see a scientist move, the effected zombie has about 3 seconds until they are cured into a civilian unit.

3) Some army personnel can kill, with 1 shot. But most of the time it takes ~5 shots to kill.

4) Isolating individual units quickly, and reserving them for later can help with the pace of the game. Level 5 is a real test of this tactic.

5) There are wooden barricades on certain levels which only the zombies can attack and destroy.

Controls:

Click on the walls to create a safe or unsafe path for the characters.
Use the AWSD keys to move the camera around the level.
The mouse wheel to move the view up and down.
Every level has an optional camera view, and a level code.
Clicking on the change camera button will swap to an alternate camera view. Click it again to return to the main camera.

There may be updates for this game, depending on the public opinion on the current progress. Anyone to purchases this version will receive new versions for free.

Known glitches:

If the hall areas get filled with too many units, they may glitch and push each other through walls, or push each other off the main middle path. So try and keep them all moving, just for long enough for you to reach the requirements, and hit the end level button.

Enjoy!

✦ AI summary

Players appreciate Zombie Quarantine's strategic depth and unique mechanics, praising the challenging maze layouts and special character abilities that encourage creative problem-solving. However, the game suffers from significant polishing issues, with players reporting confusing AI pathfinding where civilians won't navigate toward open exits and general control responsiveness problems that make guiding units frustrating rather than engaging.

I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of y…

Locked up with zombies. Now we share beer and debate city redesign. One wants to turn the library into a pub. Best quarantine ever.

Ain't sure if I'm just incompetent player or if the game was glitchy, but guiding people was just such pain and couldn't find reason why they wouldn't walk towards direction where door was open. Needs polish.

Zombie Quarantine," is a challenging and thought-provoking zombie game. The main objective is to get civilians to safe exit zones and at the same time contain the zombie infestation. This encourages players to test their mental skills and strategic abilities. The game's complex maze-style layouts can be quite challenging as players need to guide the zombies effectively. Also, the ability to penalize a zombie for reaching the blue area requires players to act carefully and strategically. The game's strategies are enriched by the green character's tower function and the white character's ability to transform zombies. The use of these features allows players to develop new strategies to control the zombie invasion. The game's mechanics are explained in great detail and the controls seem user-friendly. It's also positive that the developers have stated that they may add regular updates to the game and introduce new levels or features. However, there are some glitches in the game. In particular, it seems that filling up the hall areas with too many units can sometimes create complicated situations. All in all, "Zombie Quarantine," seems to be a game that offers a great challenge fo…
