Reign: Conflict of Nations

It's badly balanced. Random events turn your hard-earned allies into enemies. Migration causes most of your cities to quickly depopulate and then take decades to recover. Non-mercenary unit recruitment takes so much time that you'll hardly ever be able to keep up with the attition caused by continuous rebelions and random ass warlords trying to conquer you. If you don't have an heir of age when your king dies: all of your cities begin to rebel. Constantly. And there's hardly a way to appease them. Converting city's religion is a grueling task, I've tried once and the more i opressed the native religion, the more it grew in popularity, untill eventually all of the Christians emigrated out. Enemy army strenght is only ever signified with a star: brown(1-10) units, silver(11-20), gold(21+). This hardly gives you any actual idea regarding unit quality and actual numbers [especially early game, the difference between 1-10 is massive within that brown start]

Game is buggy and i assume the dev never worked them out!!!

Fun game, but buggy. If you like the Total War and Paradox games you may like this. It is a big dated now, but still a fun game. I would recommend playing Medieval 2 Total War or Crusader Kings II besides this game though since this game is very buggy and you get much more with those other games.
