Desolation Seed

This is like if Armored core was a first person dark souls shooter. Also, the homeless looking dudes that you tag for currency remind me of Ice Poseidon

I really want to like this game (which I've been waiting years for) and I want to see it in a better state but it feels like the gameplay was a complete afterthought with all effort being put to aesthetics and vibes. Should have been left to bake a bit more as its an annoying and buggy mess that has a few resemblances of something playable here and there that get interrupted either by those horrendous drone enemies or some sort of bug. Has potential but this is ridiculous.

I was hooked once I got the controls figured out. I like the graphics, and dark style of the whole game so far. Everything is pretty brutal. I hope to see it even more fleshed out, because I really like whats here already.

I held off on posting this review for a while because the game is an early access state and in sort of limbo where you feel you can't criticize it because its simply early access and too soon to tell and wanted to complete the game before posting but there are things that need to be said. This game has an excellent atmosphere and soundtrack which is no wonder from James ferraro as well as the story premise is creative and interesting. The game does a great job at creating hopeless and broken world building. However, the gameplay is incredibly simple and uninspiring. There is some fun to be had, and that's through the difficulty aspect, the game is punishing and progression feels rewarding in a way to get past certain areas. However, the game has many many bugs at the moment and when you combine punishing gameplay with bugs and glitches it makes for a very frustrating and unfun experience. There is leeway in that EA titles have bugs, and this should be expected. Having said this at the same time I feel even if all the bugs were ironed out in early access the gameplay is just not very fun in general, being a very basic shooter with blocking mechanics and feel that it greatly req…

awesome cyber madness, extremely immersive and fun. Cant wait for more updates. This will be life in 40 years.
