Mental stream of consciousness when I first played: "This seems straightforward enough.... Okay, the pieces are a little fast... but not too many colors. I'm stacking things up nicely... this seems too easy. Alright, time to rotate the board. OH NO, WHAT DID I DO??" This is one of those games that has a relatively simple premise that's more challenging than it sounds. One piece comes down at a time that's two blocks kind of similar to Dr. Mario. You stack the blocks however you want for as many pieces as you can handle and then you rotate the entire board 90 degrees left or right. After it rotates, gravity updates and all the individual blocks fall into place. Blocks that form longer chains with their same color clear. The idea is simple enough but the combination of always having to think how gravity will move everything while placing the pieces plus them clearing by connected color (not just rows or columns) means it's really easy to end up with a bunch of unconnected blocks that then make the next turns much harder. In the default mode, the leftover blocks stay in place, which means you end up creating all sorts of obstacles for yourself and you unlock more colors as you score …
