Idle & Incremental Lovers recommends Lazy Kickers, with caveats: [i] This is a small game designed to have silly fun with absurd situations happening on a chaotic screen. Don't expect deep incremental mechanics, you'd be disappointed cause it's pretty slow and linear. [/i] + Having played McPixel from the same dev, I knew that the potential for absurd humor was peak, and that was indeed the case. + Game being slow, it's really one to play idle, and there's a great widget feature to do this! + You get multiple cheat codes once you win the game. Great feature allowing you to play the game your own way and skip the boring parts! - Win multiple matches to win a league. Win a league to get a new type of player, which is the only change of gameplay you will get during the whole game. It's slow. Really slow. - In theory, you can assign roles to your players to be more efficient. In practice, you only care about the score multiplier upgrade and wait till you win the match. From a strict gameplay point of view, the game is rather boring. *My girlfriend made a save in a soccer game. That's how I knew she was a keeper!* Found this review helpful? Great game. Great sense of humor. I kind of play these games just to make my wife laugh at the insanity of the near completed state of them. After it really gets going it does become a bit of a noise, which is normal, but the mid and early game is where it really shines. Games like gnorp do a better job at consolidating the power creep into levels that are still visually readable as gameplay itself. Stil a worthy entry, and worth the price.

Love this game, but it needs some work. I'm a huge fan of incremental desktop games like Task Bar Hero, Rusty's Retirement, and others, so was looking forward to trying out something a little bit different. I like what Lazy Kickers is doing in terms of pixel art, the general feedback loop, and the fact I can see it in the corner just ticking away. However, there are a few things that really drag down the experience. First up, you absolutely have to let us hold down the mouse to add multiple players, or any option that we click multiple times. Adding players, increasing the score etc, I simply cannot abide having to click over a hundred times each match or after a boss, and it has really put me off the game. Desktop Defenders lets you hold your click to keep adding, or you can hold Shift and click to quickly add the maximum amount your money allows. Secondly, the game's meta just seems heavily weighted towards the score multiplier, to the point that other options like starting players feel superfluous. As it is, I just respec and put everything into score, and I sail through most matches. Another way to add strategy would be great, or make the other options feel consequentia…
