✦ AI summary

Majesty 2 is a unique fantasy kingdom strategy game where you indirectly control heroes by incentivizing them with gold rather than commanding them directly, a concept players find brilliant and charming despite its age. Players praise the engaging gameplay, humor, interesting lore, and departure from traditional RTS mechanics, though they note a steep learning curve, dated graphics, and lack of comprehensive tutorials.

Majesty 2 is one of those games that will always have a special nostalgic place for me. I remember playing it back when PC games were still mostly physical copies, on CDs, before everything became digital and neatly stored in a library. What made this game stand out to me was always its unique idea: you are the ruler of a fantasy kingdom, but you don’t directly control your heroes like in a normal RTS. Instead, they have their own will, their own priorities, and sometimes their own complete lack of common sense. You build the kingdom, place rewards, and basically “bribe” your heroes with gold until they finally decide to do what you wanted them to do in the first place. And honestly, that concept is still brilliant. I also really love the world of Ardania. The setting has charm, personality, humor, and that classic fantasy feeling that makes the game memorable even after so many years. It’s not just about building structures and fighting monsters — it feels like managing a chaotic little kingdom full of greedy, brave, stupid, and sometimes surprisingly heroic adventurers. That being said, the game definitely shows its age now. On newer PCs, some parts of the experience feel brok…

This is an oldie, but GREAT GAME, it's challenging with interesting lore and tons of comedy built in. If you loved OG RTS like Warcraft this will scratch some spots for you. Although this is not an true RTS it is also part SIM, and that leads to some interesting twists to RTS mechanics that make it a lot less robotic to play. The cutscene graphics show their age, but the other graphics are plenty fine for game play and appealing. The AI is BRUTAL , and the learning curve is steep, not complex but steep. Keep in mind this game is from back in the day when games used to come with manuals that explained them, there is a tutorial but not as comprehensive as it probably should be. Take the time to click on all the different buildings and units and read the info, there is tons of funny little jokes built into all of it. You can tell a lot of love was poured in from the developers. The background talk from the NPCs can also be quite hilarious.

frame rates determine how fast you can build and ffs not everyone can play in 10 fps, absolutely trash game

Requieres balanced on rat king an red dragon, actually with bugs sucks. Edit: Balanced is totally broken with general bug. Timelapse spawn enemy is totally broken compared with vainilla version, actually if not fix it this game totally sucks, unplayble and not sense. Not is strategy and not fun, only is lucky and wait bug not activate and enemy spawn normally. Why bug active or not? not idea, normally if close game and restart with sync or others solution can red on forums, sometimes spawn solved, but in next scenario o replaying activation again, and solutions not work ever, not idea "conditions" but is stupid and lose time.
