About the Game

Okugafuchi Shopping District is a single-player, first-person exploration horror game.

Story

Bound by the unreasonable orders of a powerful landowner, a timid real estate employee visits the abandoned Okugafuchi Shopping District—once the site of a series of bizarre suicides.Tasked with performing a mysterious ritual for redevelopment, he wanders the empty streets according to cryptic instructions.But a ghostly woman, forever searching for something, roams the ruins and interferes with the ritual. Through old documents and journals, the protagonist gradually uncovers the hidden legends and tragic past of Okugafuchi…

Setting

The environment was designed based on real-life abandoned shopping districts and ruins found across Japan.

Ruins Exploration Mode (For Non-Horror Players)

Like the previous game, this title includes a "Ruins Exploration Mode" for players who are not comfortable with horror elements.

Explore the ruins freely without any scares.
Change the time of day to experience different atmospheres.
Use the in-game camera feature to take photos of the abandoned scenery.

hI, I REALLY loved ur game!! i loved the lore and the little sidequests with the ghosts! ty so much for making this game! don't let the comments about 'to much reading' get to you, bc that was the best part for me! getting to read the horror magazines and understanding the story! i got the GOOD ending right from the start and it was very bittersweet! ty for making this game!! love this game! it had its moments <3 and im glad i got the happy ending xoxox loved it! also the art gallery section opens up at the end and it shows the actual love put into this game!! plz make more!! xoxo and longer XDD bc dang that was good! id defo play more for sure

I hate reading and this game got a lot of that but jump scares and all other stuff pretty nice couldnt understand the last puzzle at all had to check the guide id say bout 7/10

100% playthrough here: https://youtu.be/05wlCFwSHVM Honestly was pleasantly surprised by this game thought it was going to be a basic cheap horror game, but it has some solid scares and does a good job setting the tone. I think they did a great job with the story as well Japanese horror is always a vibe.

Nice little horror game, a tight very well curated tense experience. Looks great, runs great and doesn't have any bugs that I encountered. I am not a fan of jumpscares over crawling horror but this had more than a few really good jumpscares. Dev is also really nice. Just buy it.
