good game i areally like it

its a great game especially now that its had the 1.0 release it added a crazy amount of extra content to the survival loop

The game is quirky and takes some getting used to, but it's a lot of fun... for a while. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the game in its current state due to the lack of optimization of the physics which makes the game unplayable and, as another reviewer put it, there's more unnecessary friction with game mechanics than challenge. My friend and I started a new game after the 1.0 release and have been enjoying it. We built several vehicles, each with different uses, built an auto-gardener that harvests, plants, and waters 863 plots of soil along, and built a simple elevator to easily access the garden. We'd just reached the underground and were excited for new equipment and build possibilities. The lag had gotten worse and worse over time, but we apparently crossed some sort of threshold and now the physics have started freaking out. We tried various physics setting to no avail. We can't even use our vehicles any more, the elevator slumps over sideways, and we dare not try the auto-gardener. I got this game for my birthday in 2024 after the original survival came out, yet still way before the full game came out, and I am still actively playing this game to this day. Half of my hours came from after the full survival came out, which is about 300 hours, most of the time was condensed into this little time. The new update genuinely gave so much new content, it gave quests, achievements, and, most importantly, an end goal, and yet, the game was still peak even before the update. The game used to cost $29.99, and now it costs $39.99 after the new update, it was most definitely worth it before the price increase, and still is even after. If you like survival games with quests and aspects of semi-automation, grinding, and base building/defending, this game is for you, this game is for everyone. Also go check out Trailmakers.

Hate the trashbot - progression blocked because of a stupid OP boss fight that doesn't fit scrap mechanic at all. Hate the seeker just a pointless waste of your time that adds nothing to the game. The farm raids are ridiculous. The combat sucks. The hitboxes on objects allow you to be shot by bots but prevent you shooting back. Melee is just as bad - swings from bots that are no where near you connect and your swings that should connect don't. Single player game with no pause.
