Rogue Drone

I played the demo of Rogue Drone so knew it was an instant buy for me, I already own Swarm Me, a prequel to Rogue Drone, also a very good game. Both are included as part of a bundle, they play differently, but the feel and control is very similar. Rogue Drone is a relaxing mining game that requires you to mine crystals, these are used to expand your colony and upgrade your defences, your colony will be attacked during the night by enemy ships, some are easy to destroy, but others are shielded and resemble huge mother ships. You can add shields to give more protection to each building you construct, in the later nights, those shields will be needed. Different turrets can be used giving you short, medium and long-range protection, the turrets can also be upgraded by refining crystals, you can also prioritise your targets so each turret focuses on a specific type of enemy. Unlock new tech and upgrade your colony during the day to stand a better chance of survival as you start each night. A tutorial is included to get you started with the basics of the game, the rest is up to you. Controls are easy to learn, and nice and smooth, music and sound effects compliment the…

If you're a fan of mining and base building games, Rogue Drone's worth a look. It has a lot to offer (more in the harder difficulty modes, I expect), though I hope the devs keep working on it because I can see it has so much more to offer. Want to know more?
