Satellite Reign

You might get a little bit lost at first, the tutorial promises great things but you end up being a noob in the unforgiving streets. Give it a few quests and a few upgrades and you start becoming what you thought you would be. And it starts getting funnier and funnier. The only flaw i've found in this game is that not every mission brief is narrated, only the main ones. Other than that it's a great game, with some very pants-wetting cyberpunks visuals. if you can play it multiuser you probably get the best experience out of it (i didn't had this luck). A bargain for it's price.

Fun reboot of Syndicate. Worth watching a walkthru or tips video, not everything is explained well in the in-game tutorial.

I tried to play the game. Really tried. The controls are useless on a mac. Keyboard is mapped wrong so following the tutorial was impossible. There is no way to remap the critical ALT+Right Click on a mac. Instead of using objects and stealth takedowns, my agents immediately started blasting willy nilly and ended up getting zeroed out for their troubles. Developers should have taken the care necessary to ensure that the mac keyboard would work properly.

Usually I'm writing only negative reviews for games that have received a lot of positive reviews. Maybe I'm the only stupid dumb ass around that doesn't understand why people give good reviews to games that have some pretty visible flaws in game mechanics, character(s) (build(s)), weird story choices, horrible balancing, infinite boringness etc. Having grown with the first two prequels from the 90's, maybe I'm just not used to more recent games anymore :/. This time I do the inverse, i.e. giving a positive review. Why? Coming back to the 90's, I used to load four rocket launchers and level everything to the ground. Anyone who survived had to face four miniguns. Told you, dumb ass (tactics)... However, this game is not like the old Syndicate! It uses four agents with specific abilities and requires from the player to have some basic wits about tactics, stealth and timing. It has the right amount of thinking, advancing research (money is short, but larger weapons a more fun), paying bribes etc. I had quite some fun, except of some glitches where an agent gets stuck between objects. The multiplayer mode is yet to be tried. Some aren't happy about the GUI. Well, it's not 100% intuiti…

A decent idea held down by its terrible controls that are unresponsive.

Sadly no online anymore. Its kind of third person cyberpunk or something.
